The backdrop in the Daredevil teaser had locations specific to the show-- Josie's Bar, Fogwell's Gym and Nelson and Murdock.
Marvel released a tiny comic based on this TV show today.

Also, Avengers tower (which never actually showed up on the show) was on the right side of the street, not the left. Which would mean this is a few blocks from where the Daredevil poster is. Makes sense since she's also a resident of Hell's Kitchen, but a little weird they'd pay such close attention to details in a poster and not the show itself.
The creatives at the very top have more hands on with this tiny stuff right at the beginning.

Marketing is usually a separate division, these teasers and ads were probably designed and created by people disassociated from the front runners vision, unless Netflix is using a different model to run it's original entertainment division unlike network tv in recent years.
Netflix could unload most of the season tomorrow if they had to, so it's not that are strapped for material to tease us with, trying to get our attention with the first usable footage afraid of an early cancellation like Minority Report is fretting about.

I did note that the hair colour is black like in the show, and not brown like in the comic.

From the set photos it looks like they're not going with the comic book "purple man" look so much as the "purple scarf wearing man". Which, honestly I'm happy to see. Having him wander around the whole time looking like that is a bit conspicuous. I mean sure, he can brain wammy anyone he comes face to face with, but that doesn't help with CCTV and people standing more than a dozen or so feet away.
Perhaps he's wearing flesh coloured make-up and he really is purple skinned all the time or it's just something that happens when he's using his power. Or they're just going to sidestep the whole thing by having his ability manifest as the same purple coloured abstract vapour effect we saw in the title sequence.
