Jerry Doyle (Mr. Garibaldi from Babylon 5) has passed beyond the Rim

I was on vacation and mostly offline, so this is the first I'm hearing of this.... So sad...

So many gone. When you include guest stars, it just gets... sad...
This was a memorial video shown at the 20th anniversary convention, so no Jerry, but still...:wah:

I found an obituary for Jerry Doyle. While visitation and services look to be for friends and family, I found this:
---------
Memorial donations, to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 orwww.woundedwarriorproject.org.
----------
Note: This is the form to use to make the donation in memory of Jerry Doyle:

And condolence notes can be left here:

Still no word on cause of death?
Nope. Could be weeks before toxicology and test results come back. If he wasn't under a doctor's care, it might not be immediately obvious. Plus, it's up to the family to decide if they want to make it public.

B5 Books put out this tribute video for Jerry, it's from the B5 reunion video.

It's made me want to have a rewatch but the DVDs are so poor I never even bought them all. There's even less chance of B5 on blu than DS9 or VOY!

Such sad news....... Watching B5 again now and into season 2 and it's sad watching the show now knowing this.

They did a tribute show on some channel in the US. Did anyone watch that?

I really, really dislike the cropping and zooming of 4:3 material in 16:9, something the DVDs suffer from. I have seasons 1 and 4 and was not impressed

Given how unlikely B5 on Blu ray seems to be, at least for the time-being, I'll gladly take the DVDs over nothing, but obviously YMMV.

Yeah, I wish I could just buy them and enjoy them like most people do but it really rankles when people mess about with these things. I'm so glad that the TNG blu's kept the correct aspect ratio and I'm even not that bothered by the replaced effects as they've done a good job in marching them in my opinion.

TNG had the advantage is that it's FX shots were filmed using models, not computer generated as B5's (and which couldn't be re-rendered/converted to 16:9).
