The show exploring any characters sexuality is fine.

Bitchiness and niceness are simply not all that closely related to sexual activity. A lot of people like to think it is, but that's because a lot of people prefer simplistic explanations, and you can't get much more simplistic than "She just needs some luvin'."

Lol sexist? How absurd. It the show itself all of these topics are covered at length. In several episodes The Doctor broaches the subject. Janeway herself notes in several episodes that she is having difficulty walking the line of how and where the Captain associates with her crew.

I remember the Fair Haven one, and a bare mention in Workforce when she basically tells Jaffen to stay on Quarra. You said it was broached in several episodes by the doctor and by Janeway, so I was just wondering if I slept through them. Wouldn't have been another one of those "Janeway generalizations," would it?
