O'Donnell is an Irish name right? Which would explain why Admiral Janeway took a knife to a gun fight. if she wanted to destroy the hub before she left she would have packed the correct weapons before she went into history to do the job safely... But not only did she not consider the possibility that her mission could be rejiggered assbackwards that she'd have made a shite boyscout in so being that she was in no way prepared to take on the Hub, but she did it anyway all the while endangering Seven of Nine and her boyfriend in a completely new way.
if she was Moses she should have died before she got to earth.
If she was Odysseus, she'd have stuck Marks new wife like a pig and taken back what was hers.
If she was Anieas her boyfriend would have died half way through and she'd be mope on about it the hole way home.
But in all, as far as emulating the iconic fictional journey takers go, I think she was Forrest Gump.

It's called a no win situation. I've heard that from soem where before? There isn't a right answer. Which is why the episode is so interesting compared to the usual were Janeway has easy choices between up and down and gets to be smug while teaching others that their own idiot choices and lifestyles are worthless.

As for me, character death isn't an issue. Death is a natural part of life, even in literature. However, books aren't considered canon so if Viacom/Paramount put Janeway in a film and/or have her make an appearance, then those books become null and void. So why put faith in stories that don't exist in the real Voyager continuum?

BTW, I care what is canon and what isn't as do a few others(Paramount being one of them). I'm sorry our opinions don't count with you due to the contradiction in beliefs.

Once again you miss the point, I'm telling you that you have made a choice and you made it by accepting the books as canon which they aren't. Besides, we come to the forum to debate what is correct & incorrect within this fictional universe everyday. Pointing it out doesn't change what we all come here for.

For the record I loved the new Trek movie. The original crew got a reboot which means we get to see these beloved characters in more adventures. As a TOS fan that works for me - canon shmanon.
