It is easy to forget things as the fog of time overcomes you. The fact there was a black Commador in Court-martial is a big deal. I had forgotten. And he certainly out-ranked Kirk. And a few posts ago someone recounted several key dialog points. Although we never saw a female captain, and we really saw very few captains at all, doesn't mean there weren't women. And Enterprise, if taken as canon, and I do, apparently had women captains and admirals as well.

I stand corrected. Maybe the next time they remaster TOS they can 'digitally' put a women in the 'background' wearing captain stripes. Heck, if Lucas can stick monsters into throw away scenes of the old Star Wars movies, why can't Paramount throw in a woman here and there??

But what it comes down to is this...can a female captain spank arrogant female passengers as good as Kirk? THAT I would like to see!!!

You can thank the Christian religion for that influence since all the Christian religion wants to do is force women to be slaves to their biology and only sees them as baby making machines who should be barefoot and preggers in the kitchen.

I think you need to read a few history books. Sexism existed LONG before Christianity appeared on the scene.
