Oh shuddup. You visit a thread specifically about James Cawley and then say you're sick of hearing about him and call him names?

Yeeahhhh....I know it's something of a Trek tradition to have fan cameos, but first that professor, not Cawley...I hope that's IT, because more of this kind of thing diminishes things a bit.

If he has a speaking role the movie is sunk.
How so? 99.9% of the people who see this film will never have seen Mr. Cawley before or have any idea who he is.Arlo said:

Wow... now they've really gone and ramped up the fan jealousy factor. He gets to see the redesigned NCC-1701 before anyone else, goes online and says it's not enough like the original... so ends up rewarded with a part in the film? Am I reading too much into this?
I'm sure he'd be supportive of Star Trek's revival... if he were still with us.Holytomato said:Will Matt Jefferies endorse the movie?
I don't recall the year (and I should really). There was an unseen character named after him on Enterprise in 2003. "First Flight", when Trip is reassigned from Captain Jefferies' engineering team. I did wonder if it was around that time.Holytomato said: When?![]()
