James Bond franchise--the return of SPECTRE and Blofeld?

Any thoughts on the second teaser poster (The first one being the Octopus/bullet hole announcement one).

It sort of evokes a look that's similar to Connery's at the Goldfinger teaser (before he goes to the club) and also Moore's during the finale of Live and Let Die.

However other than that it's a bit bland IMO.

Kind of funny, some Bond posters end up with cool teaser images, but sometimes the final product is not as good. Take Skyfall for example, the poster with Craig walking in front the Gunbarrel was cool, but the final poster is just him on the ground in an action pose for some reason.

Live and Let Die is Mendes' favourite Bond film so it's easy to see where he got his inspiration from.

I like it, it's nice and simple and evokes a classic Bond look.

Teaser trailer on MArch 28th apparently, it's 37 seconds long so I doubt we'll get much in the way of footage but will be interesting nontheless

On a superficial but not insignificant note, I'm glad his hair is a bit longer again, though still short as per his style - the super-short Skyfall cut made him look old and eerily gaunt.

They filmed the opening chase in Skyfall that way as well - and it *was* the Stig, as Ben Collins was one of the drivers. I dunno if it's still him this year.

Hum.. Nato strap - wonder if that is a new SMP on his wrist? Maybe that (and a Globemaster?) will make an appearance in the film.

Looks like the pre title sequence will be set during the Mexican Day of the Dead, Mendes really loved Live and Let Die doesn't he! (I realise the Day of the Dead isn't remotely Voodoo releated, but still, central American, lot's of people with skeletal makeup...)

It looks great. Like they're really pulling out all the stops, cannot wait for this one!

Guesses not spoilers - James parents were spies killed by Blofield who obviously had some connection to them.

As long as it's not "James search your feelings...I am your father".

That was fantastic. I love the tone and the music and the expansive cinematography. Very dark, mysterious and intense. Bond Girl with the Dragon Tattoo almost with the tone and the alpine setting.

Living on the run obviously does not agree with Mr. White. Exfoliate, dude. I love that they're directly tying the Quantum and Skyfall storylines into SPECTRE and immediately following on the footsteps of the last film. I wonder if SPECTRE will be Quantum's competition or its successor? They certainly have no love or loyalty for Mr White after his failures, either way.

Waltz is perfect for the not-Blofeld but totally gonna be Blofeld role. Oberhauser's name is on Bond's transfer of guardianship papers, but I'm wondering if he's not secretly Bond's older brother(?) whose face is burned out in the picture:

I hope not. Riffing on Goldmember would be a horrible miscalculation.

Trailer looks and sounds gorgeous though! Can't wait for this.
