This was sort of my reaction to the quotes from Jeri, because she was careful not to name a specific person. Her mentioning many scenes in astrometrics makes me think of Roxann, since they had scenes there in Season 4. Interpretations always seem to suggest she's talking about Kate, but maybe she wasn't. With Jennifer gone, Rox was in position to become the young hot babe of the show, then an outsider shows up.Also, back to my original question: any known evidence that Jeri and Roxann got along or not?
Roxann Caballero

Roxann had ten years on Jeri.

Germany?

(Oh. Thank you.)
(No problem.)
Was this why (I doubt it) they dropped the EMH's attachment to the name Zimmerman?
What does age have to do with whether or not they got along?

Is it wrong that I want Kate to pay enough attention to me so that she can hate me?

I was responding to a post that said...

I'm older than Jeri, Roxann, and Kate, so they're all young hot babes to me.Roxann had ten years on Jeri.

Jeri Lynn Zimmermann

She is portrayed as a half-human half-Klingon born in 2346 on the Federation colony Kessik IV
I never said that Jeri hated Kate, which leads me to another question: did Kate hate Jeri because her character resulted in the firing of Jennifer Lien or did she actually hate Jeri?
I do know part of the reason was because Kate wanted to prove to everyone that there could be a show with a strong female lead who didn't use their sexuality to get ahead, and then there's this sexy space girl who kind of defeats the purpose.
That I understand but it's not a reason to hate the actress, it's the writers and producers who are to blame.

The Season 4 dvd interviews (I think) have Kate talking about Seven's introduction to the series. She said when first saw Jeri on the set in the silver suit with the lights and smoke machines, she told Picardo they should go out and celebrate because the ratings will go up and they'll all get a raise. She knew a sexbomb character would boost ratings. But she praised Ryan's acting ability and how well Jeri made the character work, simultaneously admitted bittersweet feelings they'd lost Jennifer. It seemed she did have professional respect for Ryan's acting ability.
The most important thing of course, is Mulgrew and Ryan definitely had onscreen chemistry together, which in the end is all that matters.
