Yeah, tell that to "The Glades"

Enjoyed the music score too! Slightly Vangelis, and I loved that the last scene was at the Blade Runner noodle bar.
Yes, I really like the music in this show too. It's got that slightly retro 80s feel to it.
(This sounds bad.)
Weren't those homeless people TOO attractive?
This was a strong standalone episode, but a season finale it was not. At least, not in the sense we've come to expect from season ending episodes since Best of Both Worlds raised the bar. It didn't have to be a cliffhanger, but I at least wanted some progression, conglomeration, or closure on one or more of that nine hundred arcs this show has set up and left dangling.
*snip*
If the series gets a second season (fingers crossed), I really hope they start addressing some of the many mysteries and arcs they've built up so far and rely less on standalone stuff.
Serial Killer - So where are you from, anyway?
Homeless Girl - I was born in Tampa, but then my mom dragged me to New Pittsburgh.
Serial Killer - Something tells me you're not here because you like New Pittsburgh.
Homeless Girl - Actually, it was her boyfriend I didn't like. Hated, to be more accurate.
Serial Killer - How long you been out here? (this is referring to being on the street, not a new city)
Homeless Girl - Six weeks.

The city is a completely new one that matches no existing American West Coast city architecturally or geographically (and we'll just pretend it doesn't look like Vancouver), so calling it "new" makes sense.

If that city really is completely new, construction methods must be way more efficient in 2048 to build a city that large that fast...I'd more expect it to take at least a century.
New Pitsburg doesn't have to be built on the ruins of old Pitsburg.
My guess is that it's just a Fringe-style alternate universe
tvbythenumbers.com changed Almost Human's renewal prediction from "likely to be canceled" to a "toss up". There's hope!![]()
One of my favorite series. We can only hope Fox sees the light.
They could end the season with a huge cliff hangar... something dealing with the "Wall" or something like that. Make them bring the series back![]()
Often enough TV shows are given a 13-episode order with the hope that ratings would be good enough to order the so-called "back nine", bringing the total up to 22 episodes or what is usually the minimum for a full season. Obviously there was no back nine ordered here, however this may not have been the intention. Either way, I'm sure the writers have plenty on tap ready to go; I only hope they're given their chance.

I believe (IIRC) that Almost Human was intended from the start, to be a 13 episode season series. Fox has embraced this format as a means to have as much programming on throughout the season as possible. With fall baseball, and January American Idol occupying huge chunks of the fall and mid season schedule, they've turned to this format as a means of insulating shows from too many disruptions. They held the show back until late November, in order to avoid baseball preemptions.Often enough TV shows are given a 13-episode order with the hope that ratings would be good enough to order the so-called "back nine", bringing the total up to 22 episodes or what is usually the minimum for a full season.
