Yeah you wonder, because they obviously have chemistry. Ryan was very good with a lot of people and Mulgrew was great with everyone, the weak link was Beltran. If he was a better actor and less of a lump who knows, I might be more J/C oriented. He's a nice looking man. But uhh.. need moar personality.

on the J/c thing I didn't want them to go knocking boots you risk it getting dull fast. but I really enjoyed the subtlety between them. Had it been more consistent and added more to Chakotay it would have been provocative.

Yes it could have been provocative and subtexty out the wazoo. But really the writers seemed to work with the best actors which is why you have so much 7 and EMH stories as it goes on.
