J/7 Shippers

You're thinking about it the wrong way around.

The "cool kids" wore the apex of those era's fashions unless there was a school uniform where you were educated.

They can't have been hip either.

Which means that you were at the thin edge of the wedge and.. HEEEY!

Joe Carey is on Scorpion right now!

Dude looks old as dirt.

All conspiracy layer upon layer secret organization agenda and at their worst mystical shows lose me.

It's like when I read the DS9 Millenium trilogy. I loved it but eventually I was just reading each scene disconnected from the wider story because I had totally lost track of what was going on.

I read those books in several outlets of Borders throughout the city over the course of a month.

It really must have been so much easier to buy them.

Of course ironically I now have epubs of those books resting on at least three hard drives.

Never re7ally understood why people would want to ship characters that aren't gay. It feels kinda odd somehow.
Not because of the gay part, mind you. No issues with that. I would find it equally odd if there's a gay character on a show and you would ship that person with a hetero character.

But that's me I guess.

People ship allegedly non gay characters to fill a gap created by the lack of actual gay characters and relationships in media.
Please, point out one major same sex gay male relationship in genre television right now.
Sometimes, those characters getting shipped have more chemistry and interesting relationship than the canon heterosexual pairings.

I am big on slash, but I do see Janeway's relationship with Seven (and Kes) as more maternal, but I'm totally open to seeing the subtext. I'm in the middle of a massive Trek rewatch/re-read marathon, and will look for the subtext when I get back to Voyager. I am a Janeway/Chakotay fan. Chakotay/7 just makes me mad.
There was that one episode where the Voyager crew were all living fake lives in the holodeck but they believed it was real - I think it was set in the 30s and 40s, I totally got the vibe that in that life 7 was Janeway's mistress.

As much as I want to slash as many characters together as possible, none of the characters really inspire me to slash. Paris needs to be gay, but I don't really feel pairing him with Harry (who has no sex appeal despite technically being at least a little cute) and Chakotay, I just don't feel it. I think I'm probably the biggest Doctor/Kes fan. Anybody else like them or is it just me? Seven and the Doctor also had a nice relationship I could believe in, a lot of nice build up, their bond forms very organically.

I do love teacake's perception of Janeway as being massively polyamorous. I want to believe.
I am intrigued by the possibility of 7 and Kes if Kes had stayed.

If someone was writing such things about my character I would take it as a fan compliment.

and I dunno, where did she say she wasn't pleased? It wasn't KM fantasies

(that I would understand being icked about)

From what I've read, she gave the person who asked a dirty look.

She said with a frown, "Oh,that's smut."

Looks like our Captain might be having trouble with "Eyes up here."
