Is this Jennifer Lien?

Trekky0623

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
Someone posted this on the Star Trek subreddit: Police: Woman rams cruiser.

The name matches, including the middle name, as does the age, and Roane County matches a previous arrest record regarding domestic violence. It would also explain why she wasn't at Voyager's 20th anniversary in Las Vegas this August that had everyone else there.

So is this her? What is she up to these days? Did she stop acting? I remember her being in American History X, but that's about it.

"She is scheduled to appear in Roane County General Sessions Court in June."

Coincidentally, Lien's role in Phenom (1993) was "Roanne".

What is she up to these days? Did she stop acting?

IMDb also says:

"In 2003, Lien left acting to pursue a medical career.

"[when asked how easy or hard was it to say, 'I really don't want to act anymore'] It was pretty easy. It was actually becoming something that didn't fit into my life anymore. I still love acting, but I don't like that life anymore. I can't."

She rammed an authority figure's transportation ...where have I seen that before. (Fury) Thanks a lot Paramount for dumping off the wrong cast member, IMO.

Please, don't mix up the character with the actress.

And please, don't mention events in an episode which wasn't made to express the actress's temper in any way as some sort of "explanation" for the actress's behavior in recent time. That episode was made only to deliberate insult those fans of the character who wanted the character back and who had committed the atrocity against the "gods" to state that in a letter campaign.

The firing of the actress after three seasons was cruel, stupid and unnecessary and might be what has caused the actress's current situation and behavior.

A person in the Reddit discussion (link in Joe Zhang's post above) jokingly suggested a birthday cake to Jennifer with a file in it ( to help her breaking out from jail, I suppose).

I would rather bake and send a "Humor Cake" (from the magazine MAD) to Rick Berman, Brannon Braga and Jeri Taylor. It's a cake made of wet plaster which swells up and solidifies in the stomach of the one who's eating it to the amusement for the bystanders. ;)

1. (I am not. I was comparing or mirroring. I was suspecting even blaming it could be paramount among others in her life that put her in such disparity)

2. That's exactly what I was saying! Albeit insensitive sounding.

When I read the thread title, I was expecting to see a picture like this.

[picture removed due to being too funny]

Thanks for correcting me considering this issue. I guess I misunderstood some of it. I apologize for that.

You're bold, Hux. I'll give you that. Now I wish you'd take it down.

Well, as you probably have realized, there are people who simply don't know the meaning of the word "compassion". :(

She got chunky way before any of her other problems. I think the occasionally fat joke is fair game.

All that food Neelix made her eat?

^^
I can't remember her being "chunky" before she was kicked out from Voyager.

Maybe the problems started there and then?

I mean, if someone is kicked out after three years of good work for not being "sexy" enough for what is supposed to be a SF-series, then that person might react by simply don't care about the looks or what that person is eating.

48 people are viewing the Voyager forum. I think this thread gave us some attention here in the cyber delta quadrant.

I think that might be giving the show just a little too much responsibility for Lien's life than the woman herself. We've all been fired (well I have) and you don't spend your life saying "that's where my problems started" or at least, you shouldn't.

Was she fired for not being sexy enough? Not sure about that either. Would the writers create a character who's an innocent child-like alien with a three year life-span then complain that the actress isn't making the character sexy enough?

They may have wanted the new character (Seven) to be sexy but that doesn't mean that's why they got rid of Lien.
