Is there a shot in TOS with the entire main cast?

I found several screencaps on Trekcore that had six out of the seven mains in them, but haven't found a shot with all seven yet. Sometimes we're missing McCoy, sometimes Scotty, since they aren't normally working on the bridge like the other five.

The search continues.

Which episodes had six of them on the bridge? I would still love to find one those iconic bridge shots that's shows off all seven, but it looks like I might have to settle for six or so

There never was a shot with the entire cast together because Yeoman Rand never appeared on set with Chekov! And unless you only count her as a guest artist on the show then the question is impossible to answer!

Hm. I'm not sure how such an "all the primary cast members on the bridge" episode screengrab could have become so "iconic" if it doesn't exist and so one has seen it.

Cast members:

Kirk
Spock
McCoy
Scotty
Sulu
Uhura
Chekov (second and third seasons only)
Chapel
Rand (early first season only)

Well, there's Who Mourns for Adonis? which has a shot with Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu, and Chekov, as well as a couple of supernumeraries. The funny thing is that the shot that has all of them ... doesn't have them all VISIBLE! LOL! They're all there, but the big, green Apollo hand has just grabbed the ship and everyone is thrown across the bridge. So, many of them are on the floor within the field of view of the camera, but some are behind Kirk's chair and such. I've grabbed a few screen caps to show that the are all indeed in the shot.

I'd love to be that guy on the floor in front of helm control.

Wow, you were in Star Trek? What'd you do?

I rolled around on the floor in front of helm and grimaced.

Cool!

Nice try, but I'm afraid that's not Scotty! Scotty had left the bridge moments before with Carolyn Palamas. The redshirt in the shot is an Ensign.

Perhaps, here, when Scotty returns, at the start of act one?

I believe that all versions of Star Trek called that "Starship acting"!

LOL!

Strictly speaking wasn't the main cast just Kirk, Spock and McCoy the rest Scotty etc... were just guest cast?

No, not true, they were not starring but they were obviously cast.

Only Shatner was starring (later Nimoy and Kelley were "also starring").

However most regulars were considered cast they got a contract for a number of episodes and other arrangements. If I am not mistaken the only exception was Nichols who got some semi-continuous guest contract (she was basically under payed compared to the others).

Also, to elaborate on what I should've said or been more clear about in my first post, when I said 'original cast,' I meant the big seven that the public at large associates with classic Trek. To be honest, I often don't count Yeoman Rand because of her limited appearances, and I often forget Nurse Chapel because of how few TOS episodes I've seen (I've seen all of season one and the Troubles with Tribbles episode). So I usually only count the main seven because they are the ones prominently featured in the movies, which I have more experience with. So I may be techincally wrong when I don't count Rand or forget to count Chapel, but it's just how my brain thinks about it. Sorry for any confusion.

I think the same thing about the first red shirt death or anybody who appears briefly as Hitler in a movie or TV show.

"So who'd you play in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?"
"Well, mother, I played Hitler."
"Ah."

Oh, and if some are still confused about what shot I'm talking about, look at the end of The Naked Time (and, I believe, Undiscovered Country, and one of the TNG movies I'm forgetting) to see what I mean. It's one of those pan away shots of the bridge that at least the first season and some of the movies did at the end of many stories, which is why I called it iconic earlier (probably a poor choice of words on my part). I might go with the Naked Time shot, but when my wife and I start watching TOS season two soon, I'll pay attention at the end of episodes to see if there's at least a similar shot of Kirk, Spock, Sulu, Chekov, and Uhura on the bridge.

P.S. You all have been amazingly friendly and helpful to a newcomer to this board. Thank you for humoring my strange request, and if anybody else has any other information on the shot I'm looking for, please share. :)

(I've seen all of season one and the Troubles with Tribbles episode).

when my wife and I start watching TOS season two soon,

You're going to get to watch Season 2 of TOS for the very first time? Oh, my! How I envy you. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Season 2 includes such wonderful episodes as "Amok Time," "Journey to Babel," "Mirror, Mirror," and "The Doomsday Machine." You're in for a real treat!
