Is there a shot in TOS with the entire main cast?

The only bridge shots that feature the entire cast that I've seen are publicity shots from Star Trek the Motion Picture

Yes there IS a shot of the entire cast.
A very eerie one.

^As I said before though, that's a publicity shot. The only time the group appeared in one shot.

That's untrue. Shawnster posted a different one with all eight, so there's at least one more.

I am remembering a picture from the Star Trek Compendium. I think it's on the back cover. Entire cast including Chapel, I think.

Yep. Found it. https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3265/2725633289_acc4fd5ef9_b.jpg

It looks like it is from an episode.

(This isn't from an episode either, so it's gotta be a publicity shot, too.)

The Corbomite Manoeuvre has Rand but not Chekov and Chapel but the screencaps seem to be missing Spock too, who was just out of shot. It's actually very tricky. Rand leaves before Chekov arrives, Chapel was almost never on the bridge and even (unjustly) excluding the women, the camera angle means that someone is almost always going to be out of shot on the bridge. Promo shots are probably the only way to avoid missing one or two characters.

I'd love to be that guy on the floor in front of helm control.

Wow, you were in Star Trek? What'd you do?

I rolled around on the floor in front of helm and grimaced.

Cool!

I think the same thing about the first red shirt death or anybody who appears briefly as Hitler in a movie or TV show.

"So who'd you play in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?"
"Well, mother, I played Hitler."
"Ah."

Well in the case of the Last Crusade the actor who played Hitler in that is likely better known as Admiral Ozzel from TESB and in the UK Mr. Bronson from the long runner Grange Hill.

Scotty didn't spend a lot of time on the bridge either. Briefing Room scenes often had the bridge crew, Scotty and McCoy but not Chapel.

You know, I think I remember finding out he was in Star Wars when I looked him up once out of curiosity. Thanks for the reminder. Had forgotten all about that. :)

An actor friend of mine was once very excited because he'd been cast as Hitler's head in a low-budget sci-fi movie.

I wasn't quite sure how to respond.

"Congratulations?"

There's also a funny story in the current issue of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY where an actress recalls bringing her parents to the debut of her first movie, only to see herself listed in the credits as:

"Lynn Shaye . . . whore."

Her mother allegedly ran to the bathroom to throw up. :)
