Is there a series that I have missed?

Star Cops

Star Cops: Near future police series set among the first big space stations and Moonbase, as the International Space Police Force tries to bring the law to the High Frontier (set in 2027, made in 1987, so it's no longer really credible as 2027 that there'll be a Moonbase and five big stations up there by then, but it remains credible as about 40 years on from now)

Den of Geek yesterday did a writeup on Star Cops.
Star Cops: the BBC’s forgotten greatest science fiction show?

of note:
not so much science fiction as science faction due to the way the series correctly addressed zero gravity and various other space-related issues.

For one not yet mentioned, I remember Tek War being pretty good, but I don't know if any of it is on video...

The series has been on DVD for two years, and in Canada, even longer. They just came out with their second release. The movies aren't though. I had to make DVD-R's out of mine.

I've received a lot of suggestions on animated series. However that stuff is not up my alley. I like to have real facial expressions. For me that would be 50% of the roles. Sries! :)
Suit yourself. I only mention animated stuff because it's the last place people look for a good sci-fi show, and thus the most "missed" but in fact you can find a lot of interesting ones in the animated medium.

Second, third and fourthed on Angel, even if you didn't like Buffy.
I haven't seen anyone mention Fringe - maybe because it's still on the air - but I'd highly recommend it. Once you get past the so-so first season, it really ends up being a great show to this point.

The only place that a remake of SA, JoSC or ArkII might show up would be Sci-Fi, and I'd bet it would be a cheap looking, low rent show like some of the throwaway half-hour shows from the early-mid 90s like Superforce.

...and PEEPO!

And don't forget the follow-up: Jason of Star Command!

I'd love to see these re-booted for a new generation of Saturday morning viewers.

Filmation's ARK II, SPACE ACADEMY and it's sequel JASON OF STAR COMMAND(first season had James Doohan) were good Saturday morning viewing and could be re-booted.;)

Ark II. Ideal for the times and doable in an adult format.
It's got my vote.
