Is The Disney Company a hoarder that destroys our favorite franchises?

but the memory loss plot in Finding Dory was so recognizable and comforting to some people in my family who have had some mental problems that the movie literally made them cry, so I don't think you can say that was just a generic plot device.

Well, maybe I'm misremembering how much of that was in the plot, but I did feel it disappointing in that regard. I just know that at the time, I really wished they had made more out of it than there was. I do agree and wish they'd have found a better balance.

That would be ironic.

It's been awhile since I've watched Finding Dory but I remember thinking and feeling that they handled Dory's memory loss eloquently and with depth. I agree it's not a masterpiece on the level of Inside Out or Coco, but it's still a very well done film.

I waited until 2005 to watch the Star Wars movies from Episode I-VI in order, just to avoid spoilers. That backfired.*

*Okay, that's bullshit, but I thought it'd be funny.
