I am starting to get tired of this meaningless double-talk which says nothing. "Something is in development and might happen." Bah, it's been the same song ever since the cancellation was announced. How about not telling us anything until if/when there's something definitive to tell?
I wonder why it's Monday.I wonder why 10pm.
@Skywalker:
Which is a good thing.
We don't have any sales data for SGU, so it's difficult to speculate. One thing I would mention though, is that AoT sales beat Continuum ones quite comfortably despite having RDA and being more 'classic' SG-1. This leads me to believe that fans are willing to pull their wallet out to see a story resolved. Also, the SG-1 movies didn't just sell well, they surpassed all of MGM and the producers expectations, even if SGU has a smaller fan base I don't think that means a movie for it can't turn a tidy profit.
Six? I remember one BSG midseason break was eight months.

Being Human is having some success on Mondays. With SGU and Caprica tanking on Tuesdays, perhaps Monday is now their new scripted programming day.

If it can hold those numbers, it's still doing better than either Caprica or Stargate Universe--and at a fraction of the cost.
Now, if the ratings for Being Human (which I haven't seen and don't intend to) continue to slide, then there's a problem. But it has only been on the air for four episodes (and the second episode saw a noticeable increase in the ratings).

The fact that it's only been four episodes makes matters even worse. The general downward trend of a new series usually doesn't stop until around 8 or more episodes in. I'd be very surprised if the numbers didn't continue to fall. Well, unless there was some massive one-off competition this week that I'm not aware of anyway.
Edit: episode 2 pulled in 2.139 million viewers, then episode 3 dropped to 1.502 million viewers. Yikes.
http://www.gateworld.net/news/2011/02/stargate-producers-headed-for-the-transporter-tv-series/Our friends at Stargate SG-1 Solutions have pieced together the hints Mallozzi has been dropping in recent weeks, and we think their guess has to be right: the French studio EuropaCorp, the makers of the film series The Transporter, Taken (the recent Liam Neeson film, not the Syfy mini-series), and La Femme Nikita, announced last year that it is working on a TV series adapting The Transporter.
Why? It's only Mallozzi, Mullie and Cooper that are joining that show. We've known about it for weeks. If an SGU movie were ever to be made (which does look less and less likely) then it would almost certainly Brad writing it anyway, not any of these three. You have a point about the Atlantis one, though I don't think anyone realistically thought that was going to happen any more. Joe posted a picture of the script on his blog, and has called for fans to pressure MGM into publishing it.

Looking forward to the remainder of this season and hoping the show can somehow be continued. I've enjoyed it less than SG1 or Atlantis but I still think it has a lot of potential.
