Almost there, Stargate fans. Again, this is show business, so even the most promising of scenarios can go sideways fast (and dead-end scenarios turn around just as quickly). Nothing is written in stone but things are looking MUCH better now than they did last week when things looked much better than they did the week before. Meetings are still ongoing and I, like most of you, am really beginning to feel antsy. Hopefully, by the time we head back into the office for the Day 1 Mix of Blockade, we’ll have something more substantial to discuss."
What the hell is he talking about? Getting SGU back, but not on SyFy? Doing yet another show? DVD films? What?

Neither do I. And I have to say, Joseph Mallozzi is the kind of guy who seems 'cautiously optimistic' about everything. If he doesn't gradually change his tune like always I'll be really surprised. For the longest time he thought for sure the SG-1 and SGA movies were happening and at this point only the most delusional franchise fans insist it will happen. The rest of us range from 'slight chance' (me) to 'no way in hell'.
Meanwhile, for all those wondering – which I assume is A LOT of you – the Stargate situation remains fluid, and the tidbits of information I’ve received continue to sound very promising for a conclusion to the SGU story (in addition to a few more goodies). It’s slow but positive progress. Hopefully, I’ll know more this Tuesday when I go in to watch the Day 1 mix of Blockade and Day 2 mix of Common Descent.
Oh I want to get excited, but I won't let myself at this stage. I'd like to think that the "few more goodies" might refer to the other SG series movies, because I don't know what else it would be at this stage, but that might be a leap.
@Hoopinator haha, thanks. I know the guys are working on getting a movie made to finish up the story. Fingers crossed. 7:55 AM Feb 4th via Twitter for BlackBerry® in reply to Hoopinator
http://twitter.com/BrianJacobSmith/status/34345476799070208left to shoot, but it'll go by quick. Then its pilot season, and hopefully an SGU movie. No promises, but dreams do come true!
http://twitter.com/BrianJacobSmith/status/34364784707112960Just to clarify - I've heard nothing at all about an SGU movie, was just daydreaming. I'll let you know if I hear anything, tho.
^^I think he's just hoping since an SGU movie would mean work and a paycheck for him.

I agree. You were just told you were fired along with hundreds of others and you really just want a job back.
I just can't picture anyone paying to make a SGU movie before a SG1 movie.
An Atlantis movie isn't needed.
