Lost is my current favorite show. It replace BSG as of season 4. Here's why: They both had similar great starts, then slowdowns...and came back with great season 3 finales. The only difference between Lost and BSG Seasons 4 is that while BSG is farting around, Lost is giving us what we have wanted for a long time.

Lost is my favourite show on TV right now, but it's not even close to being my favourite show of all time (DS9). Lost has too much filler and is too frustrating. Plus, who knows if it'll all be tied up in a good and logical way? I think X-Files took a similar concept (Twilight Zone) and did it better because they had the standalone episodes to mix it up.
not close. had it ended after season 1, it would be a great show, maybe in my top ten if i ever tried to come up with a top ten list. i do know that deadwood is my all time favorite show and lost is far, far from it.
I've been watching Deadwood, up to about episode 8 now. It doesn't seem to have bad episodes. Fascinating characters, but I still gotta reserve my #1 slot for a show that offers trippy sci-fi. 
It's my favorite show. Probably ever... for a while I enjoyed Battlestar Galactica more, and Dexter has always been nipping at its heels, but Lost is just amazing. The more I watch it, the more I become nearly obsessed with it.
No, but it's up there. The dud episodes are still better than some other shows' finest hours, but I really don't like the pace of the show brought on mainly by characters who don't share information or ask obvious questions. Imagine how far ahead in the storytelling we'd be!
As of today I'd say it's my all time favourite show. I used to think that of BSG but so far this season has been off for me. While Lost has really kicked some major ass.
I think my epiphany came with The Man Behind The Curtain but The Shape Of Things To Come really cemented Lost being one show I'll watch over and over.

Also, I really haven't liked most of this season of Lost, but that's offset by how much I've liked the rest of the show. Then again the same is true of BSG, gah! I'm so conflicted!
BTW the poll is at 50%-50% now which is pretty awesome IMHO.
Anywho, back to studying for my evil English Lit final tomorrow.
Yeah I didn't figure Lost was the favorite show of half the people in this forum. I was thinking more like ten or twenty percent.
I voted no. I really, really like the show a lot. But when I think about the shows I love, there's usually one or more characters that I just find endlessly compelling--like on Buffy, Angel, or DS9 (my top three fav shows of all time). Much as I like most of the characters on Lost, there isn't really one that I just love.
The storytelling is great and I'm in for the entirety of the ride, but it's not in my all time top shows at this point.

Mine too.
Atm I would say it was my current favourite show but that's coming down off a pretty great episode. When we get to another dud, I probably won't feel that highly of it. 
But I definitely prefer it to all the other show's that have got forums on the board, even if only slightly.
