Right...I'm a white racist who happens to be white...

Oh, man, the cognitive dissonance is strong with this one.

Ugh, I am going to get banned again, but I can't in good conscience tolerate a race war baiting white guilt riddled racist...

Having a person of color in a cast with a white dude does not make a movie or a series bad. Having bad writing makes a movie or a series bad. What's bad about TLJ isn't bad because of Rose Tico or Rey or Finn. It's bad because of bad writing and poor choices by the director.

Racists and incels will just have to learn to live in a world where there are lots of people with different skin tones or else go extinct.

Either a poor attempt at humor or white fragility.
Why don't we ask the person who posted it?

Oh, wait...I was simply opining that it would be nice for a SW show to not have any white people in it to expand upon diversity. I didn't think it would be such a problem...but, I'm sure I'll be accused of white privilege and racism, rather than exploring something new in the SW productions.

This conversation got strange fast.

To be perfectly honest, you could not be more wrong. Next time, please do me a favor and ask me about it, instead of just accusing me of racism.

I would consider it a courtsey.

Was there even anyone on screen who was black* in the 1977 film at all?

* - I mean. presented as a black human.

I can't think of anybody off the top of my head, whether on the Tantive IV, in Mos Eisley, on the Death Star, on Yavin 4....

What about anybody non-white in the 1977 film?

Is anyone expected to take that seriously after your entire posting history?
What's wrong with my posting history? You misunderstood one of my posts and accused me of being an incel, for which I never received any apologies.

Other than that, I fight the good fight and only call out people who deserve it.

Maybe in the crowd scene at the award ceremony.

If you want to think that, sure.

Perhaps some of the stormtroopers. Jason

Benioff and Weiss...Trevaro...Rian Johnson...JJ Abrams...Lord and Miller. She simply goes for who was the "new hotness" at the time not people she thought would be best at making Star Wars.

As a fan of the old EU, a lot of it was just shit
Sadly true. I purchased the movie novelizations as they came out, Minds Eye, the original Han Solo and Calrissian trilogies and met the Zahn restart with, to say the least, enthusiasm.

It took years, but despite trying to carry on I eventually had to stop during the Vong war. Just...too much shit.

I'd intended to start again with the new E.U. but I just can't muster the interest.

The movies themselves ? Couldn't see why Solo got so dumped on. It wasn't brilliant, but it was better than the awful The Force Awakes. I unexpectedly loved both Rogue One and The Last Jedi.

It just remains for JJ to ruin it all with Ep. IX...

If TLJ is the worst movie someone has seen then they have lived a blessed life. I've seen some real shit.

For example this.

And this is art compared to some movies I've seen. My goal is to be the first person to die from a bad movie.

Some people are just adorable when it comes to what they think is the worst.

Until you've seen Frankenhooker you are not yet open to the power of the shit side.

Ancient Rome with laser guns, spaceships and talking animals.
There was an episode of, I believe the original Tomorrow People that had someone time traveled back to Ancient Rome with a car engine and when they came back the Romans had conquered the Earth and were traveling into space.

My memory is a little fuzzy but I do believe it was the Tomorrow People. However I may be wrong about which show it was but I definitely remember the subject matter.

The problem is a common problem going back to the prequels and that is character blandness. The prequel characters were to stuffy and the modern characters fill like action hereos more than people. Except the droids. I have loved all the droid characters. What made the orginal characters best was they were archetypes that were perfect fits for what is simply a good vs evil fairy tale. The actors have real chemistry with each other and feel like they were born to play those parts. Luke is better than Rey for example not because he is a guy or a better actor or even with a better backstory. Hamil was simply perfect for the part and you can imagine anyone else doing the role. Same with Han and Lando but I never get that feeling with the new characters. Jason

You are a racist. Don't bother responding. You've outed yourself.

I'm in his corner. I guess I'm a racist too? Even though I'm white, married to a white woman, which we've had three white children together...

Or... it simply doesn't bother me to see a film where other cultures and races are the focus. Irritating people like you is simply icing on the cake.
