After the massive success of the Mary Sue thread, I will create this one to hold the discussion of Kathleen's leadership. Any and all discussion of this subject should be referred here.

Hopefully this thread will actually work and keep this shit out of the other threads, I'm getting so sick of it derailing them all.

Don't say his name three times.

Doubt I could, but this is at least an appropriate outlet for him to finally put forth his thesis that KK is a failure without having to tailor it to the specifics of a given thread topic.

Some day, someone, will coherently explain how KK is ruining Star Wars? For starters, how does one ruin a franchise? Did Lucas ruin it with the PT and Jar Jar Binks? I'm sure many would argue yes. I would say "It's not ruined if it continues on."

So, no. KK is doing the best she can with what she has available to her. It might be Disney and it might be Star Wars but their resources are not infinite.

SW is a business. It needs to be treated as such.

The only folks whose opinion matters on Kathleen Kennedy, is her higher-ups at Disney. Much like Kurtzman and CBS.

People can bitch and moan all they want, but the corporate higher-ups are the ones that decide if these folks are clearing the bars set for them.

And when it comes to directors leaving projects, or other ones not moving forward, I really don't think we get anywhere enough details to really judge who is at fault.
As for Kennedy, she's been working as a movie producer since Poltergeist in 1982, and if she was really that incompetent, I have a feeling she would have dropped out of the business a long time ago.

I think that, generally, part of these types of backlashes is that folks come to the realization that they have no real control over what goes on in something they like. So they attach themselves to these YouTube folks, and people like Alec Peters.

They are fighting to feel important.

My therapist and I have discussed my realization that I have no real control. Its not the end of the world. You work through it. You figure it what you can do better. Or you move on.

When it comes to entertainment, its not the content creator's fault you didn't like what was produced.

Control is very limited for each individual. We are responsible for our own choices, words, actions, and behaviors. We cannot control anyone else's.

But, yes, people spend years in therapy to address such challenges. Otherwise, I wouldn't have a job :D

But my opinion is always perfect, so in that case if I don't like something/person that thing/ person should be bad/terrible right? ;)
