Is it time for naked aliens on "Discovery"?

Well... clothing developed as protection from the elements. It doesn't seem outrageous that aliens would do the same.

It goes both ways. Starships are climate controlled, humans don't really need to wear clothes either.

Realistically there should be more aliens though, who have fur or some other natural protection against the elements. There are really only very few species on Earth, who wear clothes or something similar for protection. There should also be more aliens, who don't walk on two legs by the way. Overall just more aliens, which aren't so similar to humans. They should use CGI or puppets like Farscape for some variety. I really hope for example, that a Horta will be a crew member of the Discovery.

When in comes to climate control on starships and humans wearing clothing nevertheless, maybe they want to reduce energy costs? The less clothing people wear, the warmer it has to be on the ship. Although compared to the energy requiring for warp, it really shouldn't be much, so I guess it is mostly tradition, that keeps the temperature colder and people more clothed.
