Is it Just Me, or has CSI gotten too gross lately?

I've watched the original CSI since it began, but just the past year or so, it seems, they've become about five times as gross with their effects and props than they used to be. To the point where I find myself just listening rather than watching during certain scenes, especially autopsies.

I'm not a squeamish type about such, CSI has never bugged me before about such. Just seems in the past year or two, it's gotten really... overloaded with gore. Anyone else notice that?

No, I think it's always been like that, with the show pretending that it's more realistic than other cop-shows or something.

I have wondered the same thing - especially with the addition of the medical examiner as a regular. That meant more autopsy scenes, therefore more "goo".

My lawyer told me about an exhumation he had to witness. The water table here, in Oklahoma, is rather high and as such bodies buried in vaults tend to get "soaked". Suffice to say, it was not pretty so it's proper (IMHO) that TV mirror real life. Nothing wrong with that.
