because there's nothing in the show that indicates it isn't
Well, other than the fact that it looks nothing like TOS. But I'm beating a dead horse here.

well, TOS takes place a decade later, so why would it? A movie set in 1963 wouldn't look like a movie set in 1973 eitherWell, other than the fact that it looks nothing like TOS. But I'm beating a dead horse here.
Very shortly after the last 2 show runners were fired they announced Spock. I think there's a connection there.
I don't believe so.

They did mention our little friends, the tachyons.
stylistic changes that are suspected over the course of a decadeIf you watch DSC and then watch TOS, you'll have your answer.

Kurtzman was the one who first mentioned Prime in relation to DSC IIRC, so probably not.I wonder if the new showrunners will decide that this isn't the prime universe.
No I mean the lying about Spock stopped after they were fired. You've got the timing reversed. The two showrunners were fired *AFTER* the Enterprise showed up last season and they had already decided to include Spock.

Enterprise showed up in January 2018 in the season1 finale and Frakes confirms in April 2018 Spock will show up in the season 2 episode he directed (as a flashback because that's what is actually in his episode). Berg and friend were fired in June 2018. The inclusion of the Enterprise and Spock as a focal point of season 2 was decided way before the two showrunners were fired. It was just *confirmed* by Kurtzman in July 2018 at SDCC as part of the hype for season 2 but the decision itself and even news of it preceeded the firing.
Art by the legendary Al Williamson. Nice.I think it is...
The Sounds of Thunder title for the next episode, could be some kind of reference to this...

I have faith that DSC won't involve time travel, and that nothing from The Picard Show will appear in IT...but that doesn't preclude things moving in the other direction, and having Picard pick up a plot thread that started in DSC.
No. They said there would be no crossover with Picard.
it makes more sense that DSC is in the same universe as the Kelvin movies.
Except the timeline of events doesn't add up. The Enterprise should be under construction at Riverside, there wasn't a war with the Klingons, and Spock should be working at the Academy right now.it makes more sense that DSC is in the same universe as the Kelvin movies.
