Did not expect the finale to go that direction
Obviously I thought Mark's abilities despite being so young and able to hold his own (and defeat) Viltrumites who were thousands of years older (and since Viltrumites get stronger and better experienced over time) that's quite a feat... likely showed Thragg there is a suitable breeding stock. I just thought it would likely be the scenario that Thragg threatened in that I thought they would actually be doing mass breeding/control/rule. Not the blending into the population route.
I can't really see Viltrumites with their extreme xenophobia and superiority managing to stay on the downlow very long. Although I guess it makes sense they would decide to try to 'hide' from the Alliance while hoping to have dozens or possibly hundreds of children on Earth to add to their ranks over the next 15-20 years as opposed to openly conquering the planet and setting themselves up as a target.
Nolan did it though it changed him just enough for the redemption arc to begin. The Vitrumites have no choice right now because Thragg knows that continuing open combat means they'll be picked off one by one as was the initial plan of Thadeus.
If the show further goes into this it'll be interesting to see how the Viltrumites go about this "breeding program" because of exactly these traits you describe that are not very helpful in establishing relationships. They could go the one night stand route and monitor the women to abduct the baby once it's born and raise it somewhere but i'm curious how this story continues.
Will Mark keep his momentous decision for himself or seek help from Cecil, Allen and the others? Only way to find out is wait for the new season or read the comics
