Internet Explorer vs Fire Fox??

Just like Spot's Meow, I've never had a single problem with IE, and now that I've installed IE7 I am very happy with it, it runs smoothly, it's quick and it's easy to use, it excels especially in the cookies management, which is a feature I really love, it makes it all easy and it works like a charm.

I switch back and forth between FF 3 and Chrome. FF3 does crash on me from time to time, but I think they are continuing to improve it.

I switch between FF and IE 7, but FF is my standard browser. I find that when I have more that 2 tabs open in IE, it slows to an absolute crawl and takes every resource available on my PC. Currently, I have 8 tabs open in FF and no problems.

I would like to use FF because it's more secure, but the times I've used it, I have had problems with links actually working... I have had to close the program, navigate back to where I was, and then the link usually worked. I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle.

I haven't used IE for years, except when I absolutely need to. I've been using Opera since 2003 and have been quite happy with it, but I switched to Chrome on the day it came out and haven't looked back. It's awesome.

Firefox still has a lot of memory leak issues - I've been using chrome but it doesn't seem to work with spoiler posts here...

I sometimes feel like I'm using some different version of IE than everyone else or something because others complain that it crashes and causes pop-ups and viruses and what not, but I've never had a problem with it.

The thing that most bothers me about IE are those annoying clicking sounds it makes on every. single. page. :scream:

You can turn that off in your sound properties in control panel.

Yeah, but then I couldn't complain about it. I'll just use Chrome instead. ;)

I have IE disabled in my firewall and will not use it again under any circumstances whatsoever.

Opera isn't anything special (IMO, anyway - to each their own) and I found Chrome buggy and annoying (although I may give it another go some time). I haven't tried the Windows version of Safari and have no interest in doing so.

Firefox has been my browser of choice for several years now. Its almost limitless customisability (so to speak) alone puts it far ahead of the other options.

That's strange, I never had that problem with IE. I have now 6 tabs open and it's working just fine.

I love the clicking sound!

When I first started my current job for a while I felt like something was "wrong" when I used IE. I could not figure out what was different. It was the clicking! We have to turn our sound off so I could not hear it and it just felt wrong.

Firefox isn't perfect, it has its quirks, and I've probably had to re-install it clean 4-5 times over the last 2 years, but overall, for its configurability and safety its probably the number one browser. I tried out Safari recently and its IS probably faster, but its configurations doesn't suit me as much as FF. Chrome is ok, but plain, I deleted it.

RAMA

For the love of god Firefox. Forget about the security, lower RAM usage, and interface. Extensions are the shiznit.

Which is better?
Lately I've been getting booted from the internet and get the message
'The Internet Explorer is not Responding'
Virus checks find nothing. a Co-Worker suggested FireFox.

Any Pros or Cons to it?

I was having a similar problem. I reloaded Adobe Flash and my problems went away.

I had started using FireFox, but switched back to IE when they introduced Tabs and haven't been back since.

I'm been running IE 8 for about a week and have been quite happy with it.

My favorite Firefox add on is Adblock Plus, it blocks banner ads and web site ads, it's amazing how fast websites come up now without them, especially Trekbbs.
