Infinity Gauntlet: What Would You Do With It?

I would create Asimov's Second Galactic Empire: An entire galaxy filled with spacefaring Humans secretly run by a race of telepathic positronic robots. (Foundation and Earth) Then I'd retire to Trantor and settle in a penthouse overlooking the capital.

The gauntlet injured thanos and Bruce when they used it, and it killed Tony. So I’m pretty sure you’d only get one chance. Unless you use the first snap to make yourself immortal.

^How much damage is inflicted to the wearer of the gauntlet could depend upon the nature of what it's being used for though. Thanos was able to use the glove casually without suffering any apparent long-term harm up until his Big Snap.

Or maybe it's a matter of using all of the stones simultaneously versus using a subset?

Actually, Thanos didn't suffer any damage at all until he made the stones destroy themselves, so it's likely you could keep snapping till you get it right.

Hulk and Tony certainly took damage on their first snap, though.

It likely has at least a little to do how much energy you're capable of physically tanking on your own. And possibly there may be some level of technique/understanding required to do it well.

Thanos seemed to at least take some brief injury each time he added a stone to the gauntlet, possibly moreso with each additional stone, if I recall correctly, though I guess it's debatable whether the effect we see is truly harmful.

The glove Hulk and Tony used may have been inferior in construction to the original gauntlet and consequently less able to shield its wearer from harmful effects.

It damaged the gauntlet and his arm, though he was still able to use the space stone to scape. Plus as others said, Tony and Hulk.

So maybe it's a combination of the Gauntlet's construction and Thanos's physiognomy. I'll buy that.

Still, if you used the first snap to make yourself more invulnerable than Thanos, that's gotta go a long way toward increasing your snap count.

It was unclear if it killed them because of the scope of the requested action though. Maybe if you kept your interventions to a scale less than the entire universe, it might be less dangerous.

Tony's was significantly less than the entire universe and he was the one who died.

Physiognomy and construction. Tony's IM gauntlet was not built like the Infinity Gauntlet and Tony's body wasn't as durable as Bruce's or Thanos's.

I guess considering the above, I would first use the gauntlet to make my physiology durable enough to wield the gauntlet and slip in a resurrection protocol should the act of using the gauntlet to upgrade kill me.

Following that:

Personal:
- Fix up loved ones' ailments and make immortal.
- Make myself immortal.
- Cloaked sky mansion. Family would take residence. Teleporters installed so everyone can come and go as they please. Insane wifi speeds. Give everyone access to the "add a room" function.

Beyond that, there's a lot to think about (life, death, the universe). Perhaps I'd keep it light for starters - mess with Trekkies across the world and manifest the Enterprise-D above New York City.
