I'm freezing!

Why did you go in shorts?

:wtf:
No, jeans. A single layer of denim doesn't hold up that well to that type of wind chill.

No it doesn't. I can remember wearing jeans as a college student walking in that kind of cold. My quad muscles would freeze up and I'd have to duck into a store and do leg lifts to get them unfrozen again.
Well, if you'd be in the marching band, you wouldn't have had that problem. :bolian:

*LMAO* from Vancouver, B.C.

YOU PANSIES!!!! THIS is why we know you'll never get balls big enough to invade Canada looking for WMD's.

It was -30 C yesterday morning here in the East of TO region...-25 C this morning.

It's a balmy -15 C now...just warm enough to start snowing! :wtf:

Yeah we get to hit just below freezing tomorrow so it can start snowing.

It is funny how it can be far too cold to snow.

Pansies? So it's freezing in Surrey today?

I live in Victoria, and it's currently 8C (46F). Your poor frozen Yanks should consider a move to the delightful, temperate west coast of Canada. :p

We've just come through a cold patch, and temperature have only risen above freezing this week, so I hear ya'! Still, no heating? Is that even legal?!

What is cold weather you speak of?? Here it's around 30C every day. Yesterday was 41C. Today a nice 27C. Come to Australia and escape the cold weather!!

Not without a fight. I had to put up with 12 straight days of snow and ice in December, I've done my time.

I know what you mean, (I'm in portland)
I had a foot of snow on my car and some 8ft drifts in the hills where I live.

Well, -30 C isn't that cold in a dead calm like you have indoors. If I were you I'd dress warmly, maybe a t shirt, a thin sweater, then a thicker sweater, long underwear and some pants, eat some protein rich food, and exercise more. Wear a toque and make sure your neck is covered.

The clothes should keep your body heat in well enough, eating protein rich food increases your body's heat output, and exercise gets the blood pumping faster, thus increasing your body temperature and your metabolism, which also keeps your warmer.

Failing all that, you should look into a space heater. :P

It's been cold, but it hasn't been that bad. Right now it's -22F (-30C), but that's no where near any records. It is kind of odd how -6F (-14C) can feel good, though. On the other hand, I haven't had water for 3 days (frozen pipes- my house was originally a summer cabin and pipes weren't buried deep enough), so in that sense it is a bit cold.

Good news: In my new job, I work from home and don't have to brave the elements! :)

Bad news: I have two weeks of training at HQ that just happened to coincide with the cold front. :(

I hope you can warm up, soon, blab. I hate the cold. :scream:

I'm in eastern Iowa, about 20 miles south of Maestro, and we're expecting another night of -40 wind chills.

Fantastic!
Sometimes it amazes me how many of us live so close to each other.

Quad Cities = Fucking Cold. My gym bag froze solid in my car while I was at work. I had to defrost it before I could start working out!

Another day off of school for the cold here. I'm about to throw on my sweats and walk to school to hit the weight room. This burly Northern Wisconsin native will report back on the actually freezingness of the outdoors later.
