I'm considering Lexx. What do you think?

I just started watching the show on Joost, which is a legal (I'm almost certain), free movie/TV show download site. I liked what I saw, although it is a very different series. It's definitely no where near as good as the Gates, Treks, Farscape or B5, but still pretty good. Just to warn you, if you do watch it on Joost, it is missing the second movie and one episode. From what I've seen so far, it actually isn't as sexual as I expected, but I've only seen 3 movies and the first episode of the actual show so it could get worse as it goes along.

^ Joost is licensed to distribute media from several companies (like Viacom and the NHL), so everything on there should be legal, yes. As for sexuality, the characters talk about sex at great length (since Xev has an artificially enhanced libido, 790 brainswashed with love-slave programming, and Stan... well, Stan's just hard up), but part of the running gag is how those desires are continously frustrated. In terms of graphic content, it's really only a handful of episodes.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

It's biggest following is apparently in Germany, Eastern Europe and Russian, if that helps. It sort of makes sense too...

Anyway, yeah, not for all tastes, but something quite different from the Gates, Treks etc mentioned above. When it's good, its good, when it drops the ball, it can be painful to watch.

Lexx to me was like really weird G-rated Porn in space - plus other bizarre stuff.

So of course I watched it. :D The episodes ranged from interesting to really bad. No greatness, but an interesting trip for sure.

I love this show, and own all the DVDs (except for the original miniseries). It's quite surreal, very well written and can range from burlesque to satire to adventure to touching character moments. In many ways, it has a lot in common with Golden Age Sci Fi in that it's very exotic; but it is also modern in the sense that it's also erotic.

I highly recommend it. If you watch all the way to the final episode, you will be rewarded. Kai singing "Yo Way Yo" with Stan and Xev joining in is one of the most touching moments I've ever seen in a TV show. :)

It really has no character development or engaging plot. But it is highly imaginative and it does has that 'venturing into the weird exotic unknown' type of feeling to it.

okay, I'll describe watching Lexx.

Gather as many houseflies as you can. put them in a food processor or blender with some expired milk, the older the better.

pulse about ten times.

strain.

Use the solids as a sexual lubricant.

That's how watching Lexx is.

I can't agree you there, Stan certainly gained some backbone towards the end of the second season and Zev literally became a new woman.
