Hoser, you can't always judge a champion by its very beginnings. You have to play them a little.

I.....just really want a bear. I just like bears is all.
I played Master Hoser for a long time, he's got a lot of weapons but isn't going very far. Ghandi II had less weaps but seems to stall a little. I got tired of two loss one win days and going nowhere, and thought I'd look for a bear.

Dude, someone had a hammer today, at level 3. That thing took all but a few notches from my health, and I had armour!

Yeah, I noticed the destructive powers of the hammer on my person, too, on more than one occasion.

You don't really need a bear or panther, if you have Immortality, coupled with vitality, strong arm, and a hammer - you could be almost unbeatable - impervious to hypnosis, the net, cry of the damned, fancy potions... I bet one lucky so and so out there has that combination...

I didn't get the bear easily myself, I had to cultivate about 30 pupils to at least level 6, before one of them got a bear. Never seen a hammer, panther, immortality, or anything really cool like that in those 30 or so pupils!

You know, the bear does indeed kick ass, but if your brute plays his or her net in time, the value of the bear is completely negated.

Armor and skills seem to be more useful in the long run.

But the bear is certainly very cool.

I woke up this morning to find an army of new pupils. Beware though, my pupils got their panthers around level 6 or 7, if I recall correctly, so you have a bit of work ahead of you.

Has the game bodged up for anybody else? the flash plugin isn't working and says I need a new one but when I downloaded the latest one it still says my plugin is out of date.

Is it just me or is everyone having this problem?????

I had this problem, too. Kept refreshing, then it went away completely.

Goodfeller was one fight away from being titled in the tournament today. Crushed in the 10th round, 10th for christsake!! I was almost there. I was so close I could see it.

The weirdest thing is happening with auntiehill. I leveled up to level 13 on the last of my three fights. But I just checked it again, and I've had 7 more fights since then, that I shouldn't have. And my brute is suddenly on the opposite side of the arena.

Strange.

I finally gave up on IE7 and its Adobe Flash Plugin 10 related problems (kept crashing like mad). So I downloaded and installed FireFox just for playing the Brutes. And I hate FireFox with a passion. That should give away how much I love my Brutes.

I had not one bear today, but two! Well, for a brief time - someone with a bear fought me, and I just happened to steal it right at the beginning of the fight with hypnosis. I just stood around, polishing my nails, not loosing a bar of life, while my bears took care of business.

I think this must be my reward for diligently spending weeks cultivating almost three dozen pupils to an average level of 10. All of them big-time sissies who lost far more fights than they won. I can finally sit back and pummel my way through the levels at lightening speed.

Nope. Must be some sort of glitch.

It means your brute appeared on the general fight selection board, and other brutes were able to challenge you for their usual fights. Happens to mine all the time. They use different terminology for those fights too, such as "you have survived" rather than "you have crushed", and yes, your brute appears on the opposite side of the screen on those occasions...

Ah! I hadn't noticed that before. I guess I don't get challenged very often.

Take it as a compliment, must mean you look too tough to mess with. Most of my brutes are challenged on a daily basis.

I happened to play a bit last night (my sis was complaining that her "start fight" button wasn't appearing and I checked the game ) and the plugins thing happened to me, but thinking I'd had a semi-automatic update that needed reboot to take effect, I rebooted and sure enough, the plugins worked.

Ah! I hadn't noticed that before. I guess I don't get challenged very often.

It usually happens when you're new at a level. Before you can check what goodies you got, 6 or 7 brutes challenged you and the little window's gone. Better stop by the cell when you know you're changing levels.

Wo-hoo! One of my brutes finally got a ranking! Auntiehill now has a ranking of 8670. OK, not the greatest, but at least I finally made it on the list.

Niorah hasn't been past the 8th hour of a tournament in a looong time.
But one of her pupils is still in the tournament today, and is going into the 13th hour. I'm so proud. *sniff*

Yay! Little Brute Face finally made it to level 13.

I don't know what it is about me that I take such pleasure from watching my cartoon creations beat the crap out of other cartoons.

It amuses me.
