I saw someone today at level 8 who had 347 life points. He must have had the Immortal power. Not fair to put him in the same level as the rest of us sods.

And with my little level 6 brute Goodfeller, I was able to pulverise the mighty Niorah 8 levels above me. I'm a bastard, but I couldn't resist having a go. Now, if only I could get the Immortal power for him...

Well I never said WraithWench was a champion. Just the right one against an animal and a fast brute.
The fights are not showing on the cell pages today. It looks like the records were wiped for the change of month. (BTW, the links like the one you posted send you to the cell. For a direct link after the fight, you have to click on the fight on the list, and then you get a link with no opponent's name but a number).
I get the point, anyway.

WraithWench: 61 victories.
Wild Kat: 51 victories at a slightly more advanced stage.
Mine may be a little less strong, but I know how to pick my opponents. (Which is not to say the weakest.)

While I'm at it,
SweetThing4 : 83 victories at mid-level 9.

If you're playing again, An Officer, would you take back the brute I first gave you? I like her but I'm not playing so much any more.

Yep, I was asking for a beating, and that's what I got. And the victories number says it all about Wild-kat - a bit of a looser, unfortunately. I am more hopeful for my younger brutes.

As to taking on another one - I've got way to many as it is - I was thinking of discarding a few myself!

Oh, I know the one you meant. Looks pretty tough now, thanks to you. It's a lot of work maintaining one at that level though. It has to fight a trillion fights to progress to the next level, and provides only one point to the master when it does. A new pupil will rise through the levels more quickly and achieve points for the master in a shorter time, if I can get one.

Where's the glory in exploiting pupils? The number of wins counts too.
I have 2 brutes with point-earning pupils, and it seems unfair that they advance more quickly than slightly better brutes of the same age.
Advance in levels, and you get more weapons and more skills, but you fight similarly-equipped brutes. (Although more and more of them have stinking pets!)
It's the same game over and over again - except you don't have the time in one fight to use all of your weapons. Gain longevity? You get heavier blows.
It's a trap.

I think I'm good on weapons. And with my 3 dogs, shield, and high agility my measly 78hp are good enough. What I want are skills and better stats!

^What irritates me is that one of my brutes has lots of weapons, but for some reason, doesn't pick them up. She just keeps punching people--and getting slaughtered--when she has a couple of really nice weapons waiting to be used.

Very annoying.

^ On the other hand, your pupil Arosa14 only has 2 weapons, but with her Herculean Strength and Master of Arms, she is a force to be reckoned with.

^^ You guys are right. Skills are better than weapons. It is what makes my champion SweetThing4 a champion. She can win without her flail. Other brutes have one (among too many other weapons) and it doesn't help them that much. Better to have 1 or 2 weapons and lots of skills. There are even winners without any weapons, like Esteena. (Except when she's against Sweetie )

An Officer, I've seen unimpressive, beatable, level 8 or 9 brutes with rankings. It must be pure chance in the tournaments, who they were up against, that made it happen.

It's amazing how much of a difference a shield makes. I just could not win any fights whatsoever and then suddenly as I went up another level and won a shield I actually win some fights. Better late than never.

Leveled up and got hypnosis as a treat. I guess I won't have to worry about bears and panthers anymore.

I got kick out of this last fight, because I was able to survive completely unscathed, which has been a rare event for me until recently. Mwhahaha!
