Somehow, I just can't picture Worf saying this to Ben Sisko or if Sisko were Worf's second he wouldn't say, "the ch'deech (sp) will be silent"

Of course Sisko never provoked Worf (like Picard did in FC) so I think there was alot of mutual respect between the two. Also, in WoW, Worf said to Chief....."I have alot to learn"

He was on the bridge of the flagship for over 7 years, did he not pick up much?

Remember Sisko intimidated Worf! I think Sisko and Worf were more alike than the Worf and Picard though.

Worf did learn a lot about security and tactical operations on one of the most advanced ships in the quadrant but on Deep Space 9 it is a totally difference scenario. For one the people on DS9 aren't as select or controlled as on the E-D, you have a lot of neutral/non-Federation types, you have traders and crews from ships just passing through. He also has to deal with the Bajorans, who through Odo run the station's security. So he did have a lot to learn in regards to a new role and handling a completely new dynamic. Plus learning doesn't end until you're dead.

I'm not sure if Worf would have said what he said to Picard if he had still been part of the Enterprise crew rather then been a temp. Been an outsider allowed him to push Picard harder on his insane orders as it isn't easy (or necessarily wise) to talk back to ones captain.

Did y'all see the look of contempt on Ezri's face as she grabbed both sides of Worf's head? And how she jerked his head down, so his lips would meet hers?

Add all that to her near-punch, and Worf grabbing her fist, and pinning it down. Talk about a clash of the titans....

Anyway...Ezri was a worthy opponent indeed (as was Jadzia, for different reasons).

Another reason why Worf knew she would get away with calling him a coward, regardless of what he'd do....

If they followed their original plan, and had Sisko on the Defiant in FC, imagine how sweet the conflict between Sisko and Picard would have been? Especially given their history.

No, I think he would. It was such an out of character thing for Picard to say, I think Worf was caught totally by surprise. Plus the simple fact of calling a Klingon warrior a coward is not a habit you want to cultivate.

About Worf having a lot to learn, I don't remeber that exact scene, but DS9 did focus a little more on Worf being groomed for command and the pitfalls he experienced along the way.

That's because just living on DS9 makes you 100% a better fighter than everyone else. Hell Quark can take out Jem'hadar soldiers by himself.

Though in fairness I reckon Kira has fought more and is abetter/skilled fighter than alot of Klingons around her age. I think the general perception of Klingons is far from the actual truth.
