If I could go back in time....hmm I find myself asking this question quite frequently.

The answer depends on my current mood and I have to say off the top of my head?....

I honestly wouldn't know. I have no personal need to revisit the past - what's done is done.

On tthe other hand, I would go back in time exactly 7 days and find out who killed Paul Ross, and prevent his assassination.

There was a story in Analog back in the 90s, I think, about a writer who went back to the beginnings of Science Fiction and wrote all the classics decades early. I think she was trying to accelerate social progress or something.

I'm guessing the "something" was to earn some royalties.

I'm sure she was being completely selfless.

Another detail I just remembered: What gave her away was that she brought back a computer and printer, and editors became suspicious of her full justification.
