If TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT were to get the reboot who would you cast

Re: If TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT were to get the reboot who would you

DS9:
Sisko: Delroy Lindo
Kira: Lena Headey
O'Brien: Colin Quinn
Dax: Michelle Ryan
Bashir: Oded Fehr
Odo: James Cromwell
Quark: No idea
Dukat: Billy Drago

Enterprise-
Archer: Michael Biehn
Tucker: Will Patton
T'Pol:
Reed: Colin Salmon
Hoshi: Joy Osmanski
Mayweather: Chris Evans
Phlox: Jeff Goldblum

TNG:
Picard: Tchéky Karyo

Enterprise:
Connor Trinneer: Captain Charles "Trip" Tucker III and Jolene Blalock as T'Pol, his wife and a civilian scientist aboard NX-01 (they met when he trained aboard a Vulcan ship in anticipation of his mission).

Nathan Fillion: Commander Michael Kenmore ;), First Officer. He quit Terra Prime because he disagrees with the move toward violence to achieve their goals, but still harbors resentment toward non-terrestrials.

Dominic Keating: Lt. Malcolm Reed, Tactical/Security. An agent with S31, he has been instructed to secretly pursue information on a new species called Romulans, who appear to be making preparations for invasion. Tucker won't learn of this until 2 years into their mission.

Linda Park: Lt. Hoshi Sato, Linguist/Protocol. She's a descendent of a genetically enhanced soldier from the Eugenics Wars, benefitting from enhanced intelligence that allows her to quickly learn new languages. She is drawn to Reed because she also has an inate gift for tactical challenges and will even help out on occasion (much to his delighted surprise :)).

John Billingsley: Dr. Mark Gibson, Chief Medical Officer. Participated for 2 years in the interspecies medical exchange. He won't get along with Kenmore because of the bigotry.

Jewel Staite: Julie Reynolds, Physician's assistant/EMT. A bit of a fish out of water, she was backup PA/EMT, but the original crew member is killed in an accident shortly before launch. She's curious about aliens but also nervous and uncomfortable around them. T'Pol is particularly mysterious and it will take a long time for Reynolds to warm up to her.

Who would you cast as your primary villain and the villain's race?

Would the plot of your film(s) be a reboot from the very beginning or continue on from where the respective shows/films last left off? :borg:

I don't want a re-boot. I want to continue forward... from the 25th Century, or possibly 26th Century.

Samuel L muthafucking Jackson as Sisko.

Way of the Warrior:

"I'm sick of these motherfucking Klingons on my motherfucking space-station"

Sacrifice of Angels as the Defiant returns from the Wormhole

"This party's over, Founder"

Introducing the new ship in The Search Part I

"Defiant class starship. When you absolutely, positively gotta kill every muthafucker in the Quadrant. Accept no substitute."

you know it makes sense...

Brilliant casting!

"I ain't never heard of no planet called "What?"".

"Bajoran motherfucker! Do you speak it!"

In Far Beyond The Stars:

"This shit is REAL, motherfucker!"

Not exactly a reboot but for a story set decades after ENT, I'd suggest Tommy Lee Jones as an old Tucker, having had his death "staged" by Section 31.

It would be refreshing, to buck the "youth rules" Hollywood trend and go the other way. Recast older actors because Bakula, Trinner, Blalock just aren't decrepit enough to fit a story set in the 23rd Century!

Re: If TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT were to get the reboot who would you

Okay, I'll give ENT a shot...finding some real young'uns...

Archer - Michael Rosenbaum
T'Pol - Amanda Seyfried in a brunette wig
Trip - Bret Harrison
Hoshi - Stephanie Jacobsen
Reed - Eric Knudson
Mayweather - Jazz Raycole (yep, I'm changing the character's gender)
Phlox - Tyler Labine
Porthos - beagle puppy :D

Now we only need a role for Hayden Panetierre.
How about "grown up", or somewhat older, Naomi Wildman?

Re: If TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT were to get the reboot who would you

If they put some thought into Kes' character, they could've had her first appear as a little kid, then age her into a teenager next season, then a young adult, and finally a full adult.

Hayden could have played either the teenage or young adult versions.

Well, she was two when she joined Voyager's crew. Had she remained on the show, she would have died of old age in Endgame.

Re: If TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT were to get the reboot who would you

Jason Isaacs would make a fantastic Picard.

I like this a lot, especially the ex-Terra Prime XO and his clashing with the more progressive doctor. I actually had a similar idea for Hoshi, her intelligence and gift for languages being because she's a descendant of an Augment in the Eugenics Wars. Great minds think alike. :D

Ocampa with their mental powers activated live longer than 9 years. One of the Ocampa with the female caretaker was 15 years old.

Re: If TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT were to get the reboot who would you

Out of the blue it struck me that Steve Carell would make a perfect EMH. The Forty Year Old Virgin himself!

Rounding out the main cast, Angela Bassett as Janeway, Graham Greene as Chakotay, Ethan Hawke as Paris, Scarlet Johansson as Kes and Michelle Rodriguez as Torres.

For the minor roles, Toby Stephens as Neelix, Masa Oki (sp?!) as Kim, Joe Morton as Tuvok, Charlie Cox as Vorik and Brad Dourif as Suder.

Someone on another board had the idea of making Hoshi like Bashir (genetically enhanced before birth) but I decided (independently, I hope, I don't think I was taking someone else's idea :)) that linking her to the Eugenics Wars was a better bow to Trek history/continuity. After all, there probably would have been a lot of eugenics descendents (Dr. Paxton, perhaps?) but we don't hear much about them because they don't disclose family histories for fear of discrimination.

Or he could be Data.

Vorik = Zachary Levi

Completely agreed with you. I've always been a big fan of Khan, the Augments/Supermen, and the Eugenics Wars. I actually did/am doing a similar subplot for a character of mine in a PBEM game I'm in, which is how I got the idea for Hoshi, since it made so much sense to me.

I like your idea for Reed, too, which again is similar to what I'd have done with him in a reboot (of course they hadn't thought to make him S31 until season four, but hindsight is 20/20 ;)), except instead of him having a specific alien threat to worry about, S31 would just have him start out gathering general information and preventing the Enterprise from getting into serious trouble, which would then have evolved into focusing more on the Romulans.

But I like yours better, I think. It would make sense that Section 31 knew about the Romulans way before anyone else on Earth and would want to keep tabs on them and learn more about them, especially since they're supposed to be the series' major villain.

Hmm...now I'm starting to wonder if we both brought up our ideas in an ENT reboot thread in the ENT forum, since we agree on a lot of things. I, too, would hate to think that I've stolen other people's ideas, but the thread could have been so long ago that we've forgotten about it...
