If there was to be a new series with one established character

I would like to see a portly captain with a phaser rifle across his lap. He doesn't like his sons much, but he raises vegetables and talks to them as family.

I don't know, for every character that would make a good one-man act there's about 20 that would suck. Personally, I think Seven of Nine wouldn't be a good character for a one-person show, because she was there for mainly sex appeal in the first place rather than a serious character, and I'm kind of tired of the Borg, personally. I don't think following Spock would be a good idea either, because he'd become just another angsty male teen protagonist, which is the biggest problem I had with nuSpock.

Even if it never happens in a billion million years, I'd always vote for a show that followed post-Nemesis Picard. Maybe it's just because he's my favorite Captain, but I think that seeing him moving on and missing his old friends and such would be a big heart-puller for TNG fans.
