I don't know. A huge move away from his last few films but it should still be better than half the crap Hollywood puts out these days.

It does look darling. Miyazaki is a genius! I have a few of his movies myself.

I could never really get into the Miyazaki movies. The only one I even remotely liked was Princes Mononoke

Yeah, Miyhazaki/Ghibli films are really hit or miss with me, we'll see. The best ones are the darker ones though like Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Princess Mononoke. Most of them are okay but a little too family friendly for my taste.

I adored Castle in the Sky and I was glad to show the kids in my life that movie, as well as My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service. I love Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away too. And Nausicaa too!

I love most of Miyazaki's films (Porco Rosso being the chief exception to date), but what I've seen in the trailers for Ponyo doesn't excite me. The design for the main character is just weird.
