I saw it tonight. It sucked.

True, but to be honest, I wish they hadn't done the "serious" lecture about envrionmental damage and breaking the fourth wall the way they did. Just ruined that whole sequence involving the female crewmembers that had their uniforms stolen chasing after the Romulan woman in a catsuit. I was soooo into that scene...

That's true, but I thought he did a wonderful job as Ceti Alpha 5 in the movie...

That reminds me, I didn't really like how they recast Khan. I mean, Gerard Butler is an okay actor, but here I think he was just cashing in on his role in 300. His reading of "THIS IS CETI ALPHA V!" was straight out of that movie and doesn't hold a candle to Montalban's interpretation.

What was the deal with the McCoy-Uhura love scene?????
It was just unbelievable, and the Dialog?

"Uhura" Oh Bones now I understand your name.
"McCoy" My dear I'm going to show ya a southern gentleman
"Uhura" Oh bones I don't know if I can take it.
"McCoy" Frankly my dear I don't give a damn.

Just Crazy!

we gazelles have some dignity
we only graze from the top of the head

I liked the fact that they got Fred Thompson to play the president of the Federation.

But having Eric Idle hit him in the head was taking the joke a bit too far. JJ Abrams should have written the scene better so that it ended with a proper punchline, not with just having another policeman coming into the room.

and i coudlnt believe the romulans actually used a 16 ton weight as a weapon while down on the planet.
the horror, the horror.....

Yes, but did we really need to drag poor Walter Koneig into it as the Federation Minister for Sitting in a Bathtub of Baked Beans?

I think I saw that, but I was paying more attention to the two Ensigns having an argument in front of a computer display screen that was showing something that looked a lot like TrekBBS...

^ I was hoping someone would notice my big cameo appearance!

I really wish they had gotten Senator Larry Craig to tap his foot in the stall next to Spock's in the Enterprise bathroom that scene could'vereinforced Spock's gayness even more.
