I wanted a clean break with my content removed without having to post about hypocrisies, but it happened anyway. I know I am going to be told leave if I don't like it without adressing the concerns. I will gladly follow rules of the owners of the site, that's their prerogative, but I do need to speak up about the lack of consistency of them being enforced, and the bias this propagates. I reported this, the thread I started, to do the honorable thing because I saw how it violated rules, but for some unknown reason not only was it not shut down, but mods started encouraging the political talk. Probably for laughs

Just a suggestion, but why don't you try exercising a bit of patience, before jumping right to complaining about inequities? You only reported the thread earlier today. Allow some time for the mod to actually review it. It may or may not result in the outcome you're looking for, but you do have to give them a chance to review and action as they feel is appropriate.

Yeah, @WildManWizard please stop complaining. I've no idea about the Lord Garth post/thread that was told not to be political so I can't comment on that - yes, I don't like political discussions outside of the literature. So I would have arrived here at some point to ask people to stop - your original notification was a good one, I saw the report when I started reading TrekBBS today and so I would have come to this thread first. I didn't need your subsequent notification telling me off, or indeed all of your posts in this thread.

Your original post - if a little short on content - was a fine one, I could have asked people t keep it lit-related and it could have either become a good discussion about promotions in StarFleet or a fun thread of the trope of the stupid Admiral in Trek.

But I am going to close this now, so congrats you have managed to scupper your own thread - for the greater good of whatever.
