I just found out a Friend of mine commited suicide...

Sorry, I'm really passionate about this!

I agree with you 100%. I've seen it work wonders with my Grandmother. Ideally, it's a mix of medication and therapy so you can actually the factors that got you to that state in the first place.

I think everyone will agree that if you lead a healthy life and don't smoke and avoid contact to dangerous chemicals, then you stand a higher chance not to get cancer. It doesn't necessarily mean you'll never get it but it is at least far less likely. You might reasonably call these people "healthy" and assuming that to be the standard condition for most people you might call them "normal".

I believe I see what you meant in your posts, and it came out a bit awkwardly stated, but English isn't your native language.

I agree with your statement above. You can affect the probabilities of something happening. I think certain coping skills, support groups, medications, etc can help reduce the risk of suicide. However, all of that won't eliminate suicides.

Also, you'll have cases equivalent to non-smokers getting lung cancer. It happens even though less likely.

Mr Awe, just a friendly reminder: use the Multi Quote feature if you want to respond to multiple posts at once, so you don't make multiple posts in a row (and risk a spamming infraction.)

I'm speaking as a regular user, not a mod, since I don't mod this forum. ;)
