I hate jj abrams.

His mystery box writing style is absolute and utter bullshit. All it does is build hype and give unsatisfactory resolutions to said hype. Lost was ruined by his mysterybox bullshit. I literally never felt so cheated as I did after the first season. Mission impossible 3 was the worst mission impossible. Cloverfield was over rated. Star Wars episode 7 was nostalgia baiting trash(Never saw 9 after 8).And worst of all his star trek movies never felt like star trek. They felt like a star trek coat of paint on a jj abrams movie plus lens flare. I fear what he'll ruin next.

Let me put it this way; jj abrams ruined Star Trek and Star Wars. What's next? Star Gate?

Let's ignore for the moment that we have forums for discussing Star Trek, and we have a forum for discussing Star Wars, and we have a forum for discussing science fiction in general... and this isn't any of those. The main issue is that your vitriolic, borderline-trolling OP has severely poisoned the well right from the outset, making it near impossible for this thread to host a civil discussion.

As such, I am closing the thread. Critiquing various Star Trek/Star Wars/SF&F productions is certainly acceptable (just look around the board; such posts are all over), but if you wish to revisit this topic, I would suggest reframing your opening post so as present your premise without the hyperbole that is just going to cause people to respond in anger, and devolve the thread into a shouting match.

And if you do revisit the topic, please start it in an more appropriately-themed forum.
