Fair enough. I found her portrayal distracting.True but I found her portrayal of Vina very good. One of my favourite season 2 episodes.
The Talosians are as alien as they need to be.
Introducing pointless gimmicks like using female voices and male actors - THAT is what's missing the point. It was a gimmick back then, it's even more of a gimmick now.
