I don't know how to use multi-quote

it's true. Just throwing that out there. I just quote one post at a time in separate replies.

Just press the "Multi Quote" button and then "Post Reply". Its not brain surgery, mate.

Pardon the new account. My old one went tits up.

If you'd rather respond to posts one at a time, there's an alternative to using multi-quote: Just reply to the first post, copy the entire contents of the reply box, paste it at the start of the next quote-and-response, and so on. That way you can still consolidate your responses to several posts in a single post of your own.

Or do like I do and compose long and/or multiple replies offline. Easier and there's less chance of screwing it up.

Click the "Multi Quote" button on all the posts you want to quote. Then hit "Post Reply." The post your reply.

Click the "Multi Quote" button on all the posts you want to quote. Then hit "Post Reply." The post your reply.

And wait for the time delay. That's what took me FOREVER to figure out the multi quote thing. I was convinced the button was useless.

I have never experienced a time delay when using it.

Huh. Whenever I use it, I usually have to wait a couple of minutes for the quote window to appear, as opposed to single quote posts, which usually come up immediately.

oh that's so cool. Thanks for the help guys, I'm glad I started this thread.

Glad the OP's been helped out. :techman:

Why did your old account go tits up?

I got a user error. I changed email addresses and i misspelled the new one. No activation, no account.

I'm sure this is rectifiable if you contacted Spiff, Bonz or Antony (i.e. someone with suitably high level access to the user database), should you want your old username/account details back!

In any event, it's probably worth letting them know, so you don't get accidentally hoovered up if your account gets flagged as a dual.

I wanna see him get hoovered up.
Yes, that would be entertaining!
