Remember my looping star field avatars? I still have the code, and with patience it can render much larger things.
I finally went 4K in my living room, and decided to render a star field for my new TV, 4K @ 60fps. Then I decided to render another one with a different set of parameters. Here they are:
(Not sure why the 4shared previews are so dark. The actual files are brighter.)
Unlike the gifs, these video files don't loop automatically. You'll have to use a player to do that.
I've been unable to get the looping completely seamless. I don't know whether that's an issue with the video files or whether it's just a characteristic of the players I've tried. I'm looking into it; any insights are appreciated.
The optimal viewing distance for the 2:00 video is about 3 times the width of your display, and for the 3:00 video it's about 1.5 times.
