I can honestly say this series picks up after the 5th episode.

Do you mean one out of ten? Seen that! Okay it was 2. Yeah 6 is the highest so far (for me) .. a ten would have to be pretty good from any Star Trek.

Is that like a positive double negative? Would that reduce it to a single false?

I'd say it picked up after Episode 3 took a step back for Episode 4 then picked back up from 5 and kept it's stride for 6 and 7.

Definitely off to the best start in the history of the spin-off franchise. Each episode gets more enjoyable it seems, and the characters are growing and changing as their relationships with each other develop.

At this rate, if the series continues 3-4 years and continues to work the bugs out, it could be very good.

Thank you for stepping up and being the final arbiter of what people should and should not enjoy. Without your guidance, my entertainment choices would be a horrible waste of time. :barf:

Character development is terrible because they are rushing through too many story lines. It has reached a point when one of the main characters reports that they are now winning the war against the Klingons, something which the series has barely depicted.

I liked SGU overall, but the show was sloooooow to get anywhere. Also, not enough scifi/tech and too much boring/grim character back story stuff.

STD has some grim character stuff going on too, but it's mainly restricted to one character (who I find interesting), and seems to be lightening up a bit and branching out to other characters who are not so grim.
