2009 is proceeding in an orderly fashion. I got up late again, drank a mug of coffee, ate breakfast and went grocery shopping. I came home, went into town and made good in the New Year Sales. Came home and am now slumped in front of the tv with dvds playing. I have a feling that 2009 isn't going to continue in this low-key, easy-going way, though. At some point I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to go back to work and all that...
2009 has been ok so far first day back at work today which i dont mind as my partner and my niece are off clothes shopping expect them home in a day or two
I found out someone was spending the night alone so I spent over an hour on the train to surprise her with company and beer. Seeing her cheer up after a depressing Christmas brought a good start to the new year.
And now I have a script in my inbox and I can start some revisions on the dialogue. Which makes going back to work a little bit more fun.

Yesterday I didn't do much of anything, except move my TV and hook it back up the cable box. Exciting.

I had fun, watched some Doctor Who with a friend. But I am a little constipated so it's 50/50.
I know! I'm rather enjoying not needing to go back until the 12th.
And then I have another three weeks off in February.
Well some of us have to go to work at 8am in order to keep the country running 24/7...

That explains a lot about the state of the country...
Let's see...blew off some work I was supposed to do yesterday, and today I didn't get to work until shortly after noon.
I have been bleeding...a LOT...the last few months. The past year or so has been a real challenge to me, physically speaking. I don't expect that to change this year.

It's still going well. Today I have to do some minor household chores and hit the gym. But they are announcing the new Doctor later today and that could lead to an early snafu. Still, hae to wait and see.
I'm jealous. Every year I promise myself I am going to take the first working week of the new year off so that I can swan into work a week later than everyone else, then I go and blow it all by taking all my annual leave in the summer. Oh, well. I'm in London on the 12th, giving a presentation. I hope our days both go well.

Still sick as a dog with no end in sight, so all in all, my 2009 hasn't exactly gotten off to a great start.
As well as can be expected I suppose, it appears my wound is healing, it's smaller than it was, and I'm sleeping and getting up and around easier than I have been. On the other hand there may be a bacterial growth in the wound, I'm just waiting on swab results to confirm one way or the other.
