How's 2009 So Far?

I had a great start to the new year. At the home of friends, great food, great laughs and made it safely home. Then I actually managed to sleep in for the first time in a year.

2009 is great so far! How's yours been?

Excellent. Up late (10.30); out for a 5K run in the biting cold with noone about; back for a roasting hot shower with Mr WB, then homemade french onion soup, followed by an afternoon and evening watching season one of Sarah Connor Chronicles. This evening, cuddled up on the couch with Mr WB eating chocolates and promising each other we will get to the gym in the morning. Couldn't have gone better so far! :techman:

Not too bad. I actually managed to get up earlier this morning for once and take a long walk. Then a hot shower and an afternoon trip to wal-mart for some munchies. Now I might make it a Voyager marathon later with my DVDs. So, not too bad.

Had to work this morning, and we were surprisingly busy. It was a short shift so that was cool. So, 2009 is a lot like 2008. :)

How's 2009 so far? Pretty boring really. Got the Christmas tree and decorations down today. Wife and daughter are having a Scrabble marathon and watching stories about the obese on Discovery Channel. Me, I'm goofing off here...

Got up at about 1pm, and have spent the remainder of the day gaming and looking at TV. Will try being a bit more constructive tommorow.

My New Years Eve was great, but then about 1 hour into New Years Day the party turned to shit, things got depressing, angry, and generally annoying (which may have been more entertaining for me if I had been even remotely drunk). Instead of spending the night at my friend's house like I planned, I got fed up and left at 4am and made the 2 hour drive back to my house.

Not the best way to start the year.

Got a good night's sleep for a change, Posted on my Forums, did a little casual work on some projects and my store, watched a little Twilight Zone and Cities Of The Underworld, took a nap-- and, best of all, I got Creepy Archives Volume II. So, yeah, it's off to a good start. :)

Slept in. Bought a printer. Cooked and ate roast dinner. Watched TV & posted on the internet. Not the most exciting start to 2009 in the world, but not half bad either! :D

My year has actually taken a turn for the better in comparison to last year. Interestingly enough the good fortune started just mere hours into 2009. I've been talking to a really awesome girl for the past week or so. She's cute, funny, smart, has her life together...and to top it off...she's a huge Star Trek fan! DS9 is her favorite, with TOS and TNG rounding off her top 3 :) Only problem is...she has a boyfriend.

I found out last night, however, that she's really unhappy in the relationship and is "considering" her options. I also found out that she really likes me. She came over to my house just to see me at about 2am last night after I got back from a party and she, myself and IceHoneyRose hung out til about 4:45am. It was a really nice night and a really good start to the new year. :)

This demonstrates how much attention I pay, I had no idea you had broken up with the last girlfriend. Well good to hear that you've got a potential new one then.

The New year is great so far, I just got home from a crazy house party. My friends aunt is now 'my best friend' because im the only one who'll share drinks with her. Also, because apparently I'm "lonely and need attention". Oh well, whatever works.

Already? Grinch!

I spent the morning walking up the hillside across the little valley of ours. It was great, relaxing and beautiful. It was hovering around zero then. The dog wouldn't walk outside so I decided to take him out and drove down to where a road intersects with the Appalachian Trail. I found that there was a parking lot cleared at the foot of Mt. Moosilauke- one of New Hampshire's 4000-footers. I plan to go back early and hike when it's sunny for the most part. Tho I'll turn back before I reach the treeline since it IS dangerous this time of the year (it can still be in the summer).

And I just scored a working, semi-rare, Flower Power iMac for just $25 bucks. And I'm getting treated to the movies tonight.

I LOVE this year so far!
