How would you have wanted VOYAGER to end?

Right, they did it even better.
Another hour of Earth scenes:
A reunion with Tom and his father. B'Ellanna (and child) and her father. Tuvok and his family. Harry and Libby, and parents. The Doctor and Barclay, et al. Lots of pomp and stuff. Implications of Borg destruction. A visit from Picard and others.
Then Janeway leaving the party and looking back to the stars. She just can't help herself.

I didn't like the ending at first but now I understand the story better, I like the ending much better now.
At first I was disappointed that we didn't get to see the results of what happened to the crew. Then I understood that in a way, we do. Besides Tuvok, Chakotay & Seven, we actually do see everyones future. I figured just because they get home sooner or even if someone died, their career choices wouldn't change. Harry will still become a Captain, Tom an author, Be'Lanna a liaison, Niomi with still have a child, etc.
Plus, "Endgame" was worth it to have Alice Krieg reprise her role as the Borg Queen. "You've infected us!" is one of my all time favorite lines from the series.
I actually liked the idea of how they ended it. While it certainly would've been nice to have expanded on their return, there's something almost poetic about having them be welcomed home by a Starfleet Admiral and then showing them flying off toward Earth.
It's a shame about everything leading up to that moment, though.

I liked Endgame, but as most people here, I would have preferred to see them reach home by thier own means.
One thing I thought they could have done though was show Icheb, as if I remember correctly wasn't shown in Endgame at all.
Also, I think it would have been cool if Neelix was told that they might be going back to Earth. I know 7 and Neelix spoke to each other but I think he should have known they were attempting to go home.
I think they should have shown them landing on Earth and the entire crew would be both happy and sad. With maybe a scene with Janeway and Chakotay the last 2 members leaving Voyager and they both give a final look at each other and then behind them before walking out.
Although in saying that, I also like the idea of them not reaching Earth as others have said on here and you just don't know if they ever reach Earth.

I would have made it a two-parter with a final showdown with the Female Caretaker Suspiria.
After trying to destroy the ship by pretending to be Kes in "Fury" (yes, I just have to do something to correct the dmage done to the character in that episode) Suspiria finally returns to destroy Voyager, this time by using all her powers.
But in the lsat possible moment, the real Kes returns from her state as an energy being. She finally is successful in convincing Suspiria that the Voyager crew didn't kill the Caretaker. Suspiria regrets her hostile acts against the crew and as apology for her behavior, she sends the ship back to Earth. She also restores Kes back to normal and gives her a human lifespan so she can fulfil her wishes to go to Earth and study at Starfleet Academy.
Voyager returns to Earth and we will see the crew members re-unite with friends and families.

It would have been nice if they had laid some Federation groundwork in the Delta Quadrant. But I think Captain Janeway had little choice but to set course for home. Otherwise she would be risking the mortality of her crew compliment. If they settled in one area of space, knowing they were not trying to get back to Earth, it may have split the crew - as Seska attempted even knowing they were going home, just not fast enough for her liking.
I think Neelix's character could potentially become quite important to the Federation in future developments.
I agree with what's below. My wife and I both felt we'd have loved to see a more complete ending with some of the goings-on on Earth and the Homecoming. Just somehow felt anticlimactic and cheated without it.

This would have to be probably the general flow and idea of Season 8 as I would like to have seen it done. It would have to start right after End Game and end with a cliff hanger into Season 9.

End Game stays the same, but after Voyager returns to the Alpha Quadrant, the Maquis crew is immediately taken into custody by Federation Marshalls for violation of the Cardassian-Federation treaty. Ex-Starfleet who joined the Maquis, such as Chakotay, are charged with treason and all of the Maquis are taken to Federation Prison to await trial. At the same time, the new Cardassian leader (Legate Evek) and the new Detapa Council are also demanding that several of the Maquis crew be turned over to them for crimes they committed before the Dominion war. Janeway is charged with several violations of the Prime Directive and of the Temporal Prime Directive for "crimes she's going to commit" and sent to a maximum security Starfleet prison colony. The Doctor's program is decompiled, his portable emitter taken for study.
Seven of Nine hears of this and decides to lay low. She enlists the help of Ensign Kim, Captain Tuvok, Icheb, and Mezoti, who execute a well planned prison break to free Janeway, Paris, Torres, and Chakotay. Tom and Belanna hatch a plan to rescue the rest of the Maquis being held.
Meanwhile, Barclay had made a backup copy of the Doctor and had managed to steal the portable emitter back. He later admits to the Doctor that he had been working on a prototype emitter ever since he got the specs from the Doctor's. He fits Professor Moriarty with a portable emitter and tells the Doctor of rumors of a coming rebellion amongst the Mark I EMH's in the dilithium mines and what it means to Photonics everywhere. Barclay, sympathetic to the plight of Photonics gives Moriarty the plans for the new portable emitter and the Doctor and Moriarty leave.
Elsewhere; Seven, Icheb, Mezoti, Janeway, Chakotay, and Tuvok manage to take control of McKinnley station and make their way into Voyager. The station is heavily guarded, and with little hope, Janeway is forced to make a hard decision. Realizing she's fighting for her crew, she orders Seven, Icheb, and Mezoti to start assimilating guards. They do so, and as they do, the fighting begins to turn as more of the Starfleet guards become drones for the Voyager crew. They fight their way through, and secure the vessel, undocking it from McKinnley station.
After this happens, Chakotay taps his communicator and says "Chakotay to Paris. Let's do it."
Paris, Torres, and Harry use their stolen Delta Flyer to destroy the shield generator around the Federation prison complex holding the rest of the Maquis and some Voyager crew. Voyager beams up everyone being held in the prison and the Delta Flyer returns to Voyager.
Janeway orders Tuvok to arm the Tri-Cobalt weapons and destroy McKinnley station. With the Maquis back aboard safe, most of the Starfleet guards assimilated, and the new test bed Quantum Slipstream Drive installed on Voyager, Janeway sets course for the Delta quadrant and systematically destroys or assimilates every Kazon sect in the Quadrant, killing most, making the rest into drones. Holding First Maje Culluh prisoner, Chakotay, Seven, and Harry torture him for information, yet keeping him alive to find every last Kazon, as Janeway looks on, donning her black leather gloves.

I thnk it might have been bette to keep the ending similar to how it was, but just take out the time travel aspects.
When Voyager gets chased out of the nebula by the borg, Seven pulls Janweay asside and tells her about the hub. They they figure out a way on their own to fight off the cubes and go throught the hub
I think everyone would also love to see a few minutes at the end wrapping up everything wth the characters.

Yikes. No offense, but a lot of this makes absolutely no sense at all whatsoever.
I would have liked to see Kurros & the Think Tank come back for revenge and annihilate Voyager and the whole Voyager crew. Janeway would have had the choice to stay and be annihiliated or escape to home. But if she chose to escape to home, Kurros & the Think Tank would do some dastardly harm to some civilizations out of anger at them escaping. Janeway would choose to sacrifice herself and the whole crew instead of escaping. Everyone on Voyager dies, no exceptions. Kurros makes a witty comment about their demise. The end.
