Im one of the biggest NEMESIS bashers on this site (and prefer V to it by leaps and bounds)...but I definately think your suggestions would have made it a very good movie. Good stuff there..

Thanks man. I mean it's not that hard fix the story considering how bad what we got is.

If I was the one writing the script, I would have done something in regards to Romulus (perhaps a Romulan Civil War) that the Federation gets involved into somehow (maybe due to defectors asking for asylum in the Federation). That would have been 10 times more interesting IMO.

It's not so much the idea of that scene that bothers me, it's the execution (like everything else in Trek V).

Kirk, Spock, and McCoy having fun while off duty = okay.

"Marsh-melons" = not okay.

Ok, which this I agree. While I liked the scene, I think they went for campiness a little too quickly. The scene could have been a more serious study about the life of these men, and how they have found companionship and acceptance within each other.
