Spoilers How will this season end?

Oh. That explains why I never heard of it. I don't do Role-Playing Games, though a bunch of people tried to get me into them in high school and college (D&D, Magic, you name it). The only time I caved in was when a friend convinced me to play Yu-Gi-Oh one night in 2002.

How will this season end ? - cue title card - TO BE CONTINUED ! - heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh heh

I was genuinely surprised with Burnham bringing MU Georgiou back to the Prime Universe. I think it would very cool if MU Georgiou actually became the captain of the Discovery in S2. Having a captain that is from the Mirror Universe but learning to adapt to our values, would be really interesting.

I'm beginning to wonder if all the shit does hit the fan in the last two episodes and Stamets says they should try another time jump to go back and stop the war before it starts but he accidentally takes them in the wrong direction - like say 150 years.

She's a mass murdering, sentient-being munching malevolent tyrant. I don't think they're going to preach that out of her during sensetivity training at Officer Candidate School. She has to go back or she has to die.
When Burnham makes gut decisions it is usually the wrong one: step foot on artifact instead of follow orders and come back, commit mutiny, etc. Last time she blames herself on getting her captain killed, this time she couldn't make the disconnect Lorca warned her about and dragged the Emperor back. Emperor Pippa should have been left for dead.

Where's the Dept of Temporaral Investigations stooges when you need em?

In the context of her character though, it makes sense.

This is someone whose birth parents died, was adopted by a Vulcan family. Later finds out her Vulcan father (justifiably) chose his own son over her, and then to make matters worse, he distances himself from her after she finds out. She puts her trust in Lorca - he lies to her. She puts her trust in Tyler - he tries to kill her.

And I'm sure she's self-aware that PU Georgiou trusted her and she let Georgiou down.

It's no surprise then that she literally hugs MU Georgiou to transport her back.

Burnham is emotionally damaged. I suspect S2 will be a lot about healing, for the entire crew.

My predictions
1) After Georgiou tries to gain power in her new universe Burnham will be forced to end Georgiou.
2) Stamets will have to do another spore jump to try and put Discovery back to a time it can change the history of the war.
3) Burnham will end up as first officer of Discovery.
4) The season will end with Burnham confessing to eating a kelpian to Saru. It will fade to black as we see Saru going for a phaser as dont stop believin is playing.

How the fuck could that possibly happen?

MU Georgiou isn't a Starfleet officer. She's never been to Starfleet Academy or any of the other organizations which have reciprocity, like the Vulcan Science Academy. She is a known former emperor, mass murderer, and eats sentient beings for her own pleasure. Why would Starfleet ever give her a battlefield commission, let alone a ship?

It's even less impluasible than letting "Ash Tyler" continue to serve. At least "Ash" has a Federation mind written over his old one.

The ultimate "redemption"? They may also realize that they gave MU Lorca a ship (even if unknowingly) yet he virtually won the war against the Klingons for them (it doesn't matter what his ultimate goals were, his tactics were very successful against the Klingons). So since Starfleet is losing this war, it's not completely out of the realm of possibilities

Desperation because Starfleet is losing the war and badly needs seasoned officers.

Voyager had 7 of 9, an actual Borg drone, Starfleet's worst enemy, who had forcefully assimilated countless innocents, and made her a member of the Voyager crew and slowly rehabilitated her character. So there is precedence for taking a former enemy with no Federation mindset or credentials and rehabilitating the character. Starfleet could give Georgiou a temporary battlefield commission because of the war and then we see her struggle with Federation values at first but then eventually in the end, come to accept them.
