Spoilers How will this season end?

I'd just like to know how MU Lorca ended up in the Prime universe to began with. What happened to Prime Lorca? What really happened with the Buran? I hope those questions are answered. I hope this season wraps up the MU arc and gives us a cliffhanger that leads to a whole new story line.

Since the writing team has confirmed multiple times that the arcs of S1 will be wrapped-up and not carry over into S2, I'm assuming the MU arc will end fairly quickly (this week even?) and the Klingon war arc will end by the season finale. We'll hopefully get some answers about Tyler, Stamets, and Lorca's futures.

Blank canvas (barring the return of some of the main characters, but not all) for S2.

Fans will riot and complain and cry (SHOCKING!1!!!) that not every single loose end is wrapped up in a completely neat bow.

Life will go on.

Doesn't mean we won't get something to make viewers anticipate and want to come back for a second season.

MU Lorca dies in one of the scenarios listed above or in some other scenario. Last scene in season ender: Prime Lorca shows up. How? I haven't thought that through yet.

Had to look that one up. Not a Star Wars fan. I've tried and failed to stay awake on the very first one. More than once.

That explains why you are not a fan. Episode 1 is by far the worst of all Star Wars movies. If you want to give it another go, go in this order: 4,5,6 skip 1, skip most of 2, skip 3 to the end light saber duel, then watch rogue one, then episodes 7 and 8. But do turn off the internet before watching the last one. It is... “devisive” to describe it mildly.

I don't think we will ever see Prime Lorca...I think he must have died in the destruction of USS Buran.

MU Lorca later showed up, combed through Starfleet records, found out what happened to his counterpart, and invented the story of "scuttling the ship to prevent Klingon capture" as a convenient excuse to explain his own presence.

Not to derail the thread...but anyone who recommends R1 as a way to stay awake whilst watching a Star Wars movie needs to be called out.

I've been never seen a movie with so little going on being moved forward by characters I care so very little about. Visually stunning...maybe the nicest looking film I've ever seen...but about as entertaining as sitting in a sales pitch for used patio furniture.

Rogue one, while not on par with original trilogy is definitely better than any of the prequels, and it has a fighters chance against episodes 7 and 8. Darth Vader vs hapless rebel soldiers is one of the best scenes in all of Star Wars!

That's fair. R1 was probably better than E1, certainly better than E2 (but then again, Ishtar was better than E2), and about on-par with E3.

I liked TLJ and TFA infinitely better than R1, though. I know that's controversial and debatable...but that's just speaking to my enjoyment of those movies relative to each other.

We'll see. I keep remembering what Lorca said to Burnham: "Well, there's me hoping I'd find a better version of myself over here."

Still wondering what that meant. Lorca doesn't waste words.

Thanks for the advice!
